The Space
Villa Roya is a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home ideally located on a quiet cul-de-sac between the lively town of Tamarindo and the upscale community of Langosta. It sits just a two-minute walk from Tamarindo Beach and five minutes from the town center.
Positioned directly across from Tamarindo Beach, this villa offers easy access to the world-renowned surfers' paradise, famous for its breathtaking sunsets. Within a five-minute walk, you'll find a variety of restaurants, food courts, bars, nightlife, grocery stores, pharmacies, and shopping options.
Surrounded by two protected ravine and forested areas, the property is enveloped in a natural canopy of trees inhabited by singing birds and playful monkeys. Guests may also spot iguanas, geckos, frogs, turtles, and other unique wildlife, enhancing the tranquil tropical atmosphere.
Living Space
The villa features a spacious double-height living room that seamlessly connects to a gourmet chef’s kitchen and dining area in an open-plan layout. This space extends onto two covered terraces, perfect for indoor/outdoor living, dining, and relaxation.
The saltwater pool includes a full-length underwater bench, offering a soothing experience that leaves skin feeling silky and eyes refreshed. The kitchen is equipped with top-tier appliances, an oversized waterfall island, a beverage area with a bar fridge, and custom cabinetry, making cooking a pleasure.
Privacy and Comfort
Designed with privacy as a priority, Villa Roya includes four master suites, each furnished with king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms. The main house contains one master bedroom retreat, while three large studio-style master bedrooms are housed in separate structures to maximize privacy.
This layout is ideal for families with older children, multi-generational groups, couples, or solo travelers, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at home.

Other Things to Note
Costa Rica is a developing country, and occasional brief electrical or water outages may occur. These interruptions are usually short, and we work diligently to resolve them quickly.
Standard check-in time is after 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. When possible, early check-ins and late check-outs are available. For same-day turnovers, check-in may be adjusted to 4:00 PM and check-out to 10:00 AM, with advance notice provided.
Tamarindo is experiencing rapid development, including in our neighborhood. You might hear construction noise during daytime hours. Rental prices have been adjusted to reflect any potential inconvenience.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The three separate studios were perfect for our children, giving everyone their own space while still allowing us to enjoy time together. The pool was the perfect temperature and seeing monkeys swinging through the trees was a treat. The location was fantastic. It was just a very short walk to the beach and close to so many great restaurants and activities. Jason was an exceptional host. He was incredibly responsive and helpful. Every recommendation he gave us from restaurants to excursions were spot on and made our trip even more enjoyable. The ATV through the mountains and Marlin del Rey catamaran tour were favorites. We honestly don’t have a single complaint. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay!!

Magnifique villa moderne, parfaitement équipée et idéalement située à quelques minutes à pied de la plage de Tamarindo, des restaurants et des boutiques. Tout est pensé pour le confort : grande cuisine, immense réfrigérateur, machine à laver, superbe piscine et une magnifique douche extérieure. L'emplacement est vraiment parfait pour profiter de Tamarindo sans avoir besoin de la voiture. Un grand merci à Jason et Kathy, qui ont été incroyablement gentils, disponibles et de très bon conseil tout au long du séjour, avec d'excellentes recommandations de restaurants et d'activités. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et recommandons cette villa les yeux fermés ! 🌴🏡✨

Monkeys literally in our backyard trees.3 separate Villa rooms in addition to the main home and bedroom. All rooms have a master with comfortable beds, views and privacy. Location was ideal tucked away yet super close to everything. Beach was a 3ish minute walk. Highly suggest getting in the water at sunset 10/10. Jason also personally checked us in, responded to questions and gave great recommendations during our stay. We had kids ages 13-18 and grandparents and everyone felt at home and had what they needed. We utilized the kitchen, outdoor living and pool everyday. And of course my kids will be talking about the resident howler monkeys and iguanas forever. Simple and will totally stay again.

I booked Villa Roya for my bachelorette weekend and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. From the moment we booked about 2 months prior to the trip Jason & Kathy were already so proactive with recommendations & answering our questions. They helped us with recs to book a chef, adventure tour & secure a golf cart (highly recommend for getting around Tamarindo & they dropped it off to us!) - the villa itself was absolutely stunning, so much so that one night we skipped going out to hangout poolside at the villa. Upon arrival there were balloons & decorations already set up for my bachelorette and it was the sweetest touch. They messaged us daily with additional recommendations like breakfast/lunch spots or the tamarindo farmers market that was going on. They were wonderful hosts and you should absolutely enjoy Villa Roya if you get the chance to!

This is an absolutely beautiful place, gated with trees behind it where we could watch the monkeys. Having 3 casitas, a pool, and large common space worked perfectly for our extended family. The town and beach were an easy walk. The hosts responded very quickly to all communications and offered many tips on restaurants and activities. We highly recommend this home and the hosts.

Our family of six had the best week ever at Villa Roya. The accommodations were fabulous and walking distance to so much. Jason was an incredible host that went above and beyond with recos tailored to our family. As a bonus, we even got an early morning visit from a troupe of Howler monkeys!

Location, location, location! We couldn't have picked a better place or a better location. Pictures don't do it justice and the walkability to the beach, markets and restaurants couldn't have been better. Located just outside the noise of the busy night life as well. We had howler monkeys visit and most of our mornings were spent on the deck taking pictures of them and listening to them as we drank coffee. The beach and some of the best restaurants are literally across the street. Jason and Kathy went above with not only recommendations but also reservations. One of our best stays to date.
