This beautiful residence features four bedrooms and several open living spaces, providing ample room for everyone. The master bedroom and outdoor patio overlook a lush orchard filled with various fruit trees.

The Space

Located in the hills above the Gulf of Nicoya and the town of Carmona on the Nicoya Peninsula—one of the world’s Blue Zones—this home combines tranquility with convenience. Carmona is just 10 minutes away and offers all essential amenities, including:

Nearby small fishing ports on the Gulf of Nicoya provide boat trips to Isla Chira and other islands, perfect for day excursions.

About 20 minutes further is the town of Nicoya, the peninsula’s center. From there, a smooth paved road leads approximately 30 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Samara and Nosara. Alternatively, heading west over the mountain takes you to the Pacific beaches of Bejuco, San Miguel, and Coyote.

San Rafael itself is a quaint local village with a church, a small community center, and several long-standing families known for their warm hospitality.

The property boasts a garden and orchard abundant with fruit trees such as mango, banana, papaya, orange, lemon, and lime. During mango season, guests can enjoy an abundance of fresh mangoes.

A peaceful stream borders the property, offering a serene spot for meditation and quiet reflection. The natural surroundings include the sounds of birds and occasional howler monkeys, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere.

Additional Information

Mauricio, the knowledgeable English-speaking caretaker and tour guide, lives nearby. He will assist with your arrival and departure, help coordinate any needs during your stay, and provide local insights.

Upon your first arrival, Mauricio will meet you in Carmona and accompany you to the house, ensuring you are comfortable and informed about the area.
