The Space

This spacious and beautiful five-bedroom home is situated near the beach, offering stunning views of both the ocean and the mountains. Casa de Leon showcases exquisite woodwork, stainless steel kitchen appliances, large comfortable beds, and a saltwater pool.

The house is located close to Rancho Pescadero, several excellent farm-to-table restaurants, and a long, secluded white sand beach just a five-minute walk away.

Bedrooms and Layout

• First Floor:

  • Two bedrooms adjacent to the pool: one with a king bed and the other with a California king bed.
  • A shared bathroom accessed via a small breezeway.
  • The bedroom farthest from the pool has a separate entrance at the back of the house and is not directly accessible from inside.
  • A small foyer houses beach chairs, umbrellas, a cooler, and beach towels.
  • A small futon in the foyer can be converted into an extra bed suitable for a child or teenager.

• Second Floor:

  • Kitchen and living room.
  • One bedroom with a queen bed.
  • A bathroom not attached to the bedroom.

• Third Floor:

  • Two bedrooms, both with California king beds.
  • The master bedroom includes an en suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, a separate steam shower, and a walk-in closet. It also features a small patio with beautiful ocean views.
  • The other bedroom has a small patio with windows facing the Sierra de Laguna mountains but no attached bathroom.

Views and Features

Casa de Leon is the tallest house in the area, providing unparalleled views: westward to the ocean, north to the nearest surf break, and east to the dramatic Sierra La Laguna mountain range.

The home is equipped with a comprehensive water filtration system that makes tap water potable throughout the house, except in the first-floor bathroom.

The 70-foot solar-heated saltwater pool includes a large deck furnished with a table and chairs for six, lounge chairs, and shade umbrellas.

Location

The neighborhood is peaceful and charming. It is near the soon-to-reopen upscale Rancho Pescadero and several excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire house except for the garage. Use of the swimming pool and grounds is exclusive to Casa de Leon guests.

On the adjoining property, there is a two-bedroom, two-bath home available for an additional fee if extra space is needed. The owners occasionally stay there with their two children (ages 2 and 6).

A tenant and his dog live in a camper on the neighboring lot. He is quiet and often away surfing or working. Both the camper and the neighboring house are separated from the main house by a palo de arco fence within a large walled compound, ensuring privacy and no access to the main lot.

Additional Information

Please note that the house has three flights of stairs, with the main living area located on the second floor. Many countertops, including those in the kitchen, are taller than standard height.

The property embraces a natural approach to pest control, using natural fumigants multiple times per year. While this effectively minimizes insects, summer months may still bring occasional bugs.

Currently, there are no laundry facilities on-site. However, a laundromat in Pescadero offers drop-off and pick-up services with clean, folded laundry.

The entire property consists of three lots. The five-bedroom home sits on its own half-acre lot within a walled compound that also contains the two-bedroom rental and a camper belonging to a friend who helps maintain security during slower seasons.

Travel insurance is recommended to cover illness or weather-related disruptions, as refunds outside the cancellation policy are not available for these reasons.
