The Space

Casa Colibri is a newly built home that combines modern architecture with natural beauty, offering guests a stunning location to enjoy the best of San Juan del Sur. This three-bedroom home accommodates up to ten people and includes:

• Air conditioning in every bedroom
• Wi-Fi
• Hot water
• Kitchen
• Washer and dryer
• Private pool

The open-concept house features screen doors that open to a patio, allowing for cross ventilation throughout. The living and kitchen area is equipped with fans but does not have air conditioning.

Due to the high cost of electricity in Nicaragua, we provide 35 kilowatts per night, which is typically sufficient for a comfortable stay. Guests are encouraged to turn off the air conditioning when not in use.

The pool is completely private and not shared with anyone else. We also provide five gallons of drinking water per reservation. While the tap water is sourced from a well and suitable for washing and bathing, it is not safe for drinking.

A barbecue grill is available, and our staff can assist with its use. Basic cooking essentials are included, and laundry services are offered by the housekeeper for $5 per wash.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire house. In the back, there is a service area where our caretaker resides. He assists with security, pool and garden maintenance, and overall guest support.

Other Things to Note

Electricity is not fully included in the rental price. For short-term rentals, we provide 35 kilowatt-hours per day; any usage beyond this will incur a charge of $0.50 per kilowatt-hour. For long-term rentals (28 days or more), electricity is not included and must be paid separately along with internet and water. The average usage is between 15 and 35 kilowatt-hours per day.

Being mindful of electricity usage helps us maintain our rental prices, as electricity in Nicaragua is quite expensive. Please ensure to turn off air conditioning and other appliances when not in use.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to provide a $200 damage deposit and sign an agreement accepting responsibility for any excess electricity usage and any damages incurred during your stay. Thank you, and enjoy your stay!
