Our stay at Santiago’s place in La Fortuna was truly a 100/10 experience. The property is absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and surrounded by incredible scenery. What really made this stay exceptional was Santiago’s kindness and willingness to help. Due to airline delays, our travel plans were disrupted, and my brother ended up stranded at the airport. Santiago went above and beyond to help us during a very stressful situation. He did everything he could to find a chauffeur to locate my brother, pick him up, and get him safely to the property. He also provided us with amazing local recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable. His hospitality, communication, and genuine care for his guests exceeded every expectation. If you’re visiting La Fortuna, I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough. Santiago is an outstanding host, and we would gladly stay here again. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

We enjoyed our stay at Santiago’s place. It’s beautiful and we enjoyed hiking in the morning to find toucan and other wildlife. Santiago was able to recommend great restaurants and book tours for us. The tour van picked us up at the house which was very convenient. You can use the hot springs down the road or enjoy your own private hot spring at the house with an incredible view. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Our second time staying at this home and it never gets old. Between the view, the heated pool, and the access to the hot springs, this is the best place to stay in La Fortuna.

Villa Heliconia is difficult to beat for the view and the setting. We had a few issues but Santiago was very quick to address them. It is a peaceful and quiet location, exactly what we were looking for.

We had an overall great stay at this property. The location is excellent, the house is beautiful, very clean, and offers great value for the price. The host was also outstanding—very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The only reason I’m not giving a higher rating is because there are a couple of things future guests should be aware of. First, there was significant construction noise coming from next door starting early in the morning, even on the weekend, which made it difficult to fully relax. Second, there was no hot water during our stay. Other than those issues, everything else was wonderful. I would just recommend that future guests take these factors into consideration when booking.

This home is incredible. the view of Arenal volcano is unmatched. My husband and I were in the hot spring every evening and sat in it while it rained in the evenings. Santiago was a great host the home is up a hill from the Los Lagos resort. We also found a lake up the road from the Airbnb that was beautiful and we found a trail where we saw capuchin monkeys in the forest. Santiago also arranged for us to get massages at the villa the 2 woman Nelly's and Olga came. They were so professional and it felt like everyone worked together to make sure we had a great experience. 10/10.
