Montecristo Community

Montecristo is an exclusive gated community located in Los Cabos, Mexico. Dramatically positioned on the mountainside, it offers stunning ocean views and overlooks the entire Quivira Los Cabos, which features an exclusive Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is landscaped and groomed to perfection, and residents enjoy access to a beautiful clubhouse.

At the tip of the magnificent Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, you will experience the privacy and pleasures of this Pacific enclave.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The Government of the municipality of Los Cabos is implementing the Environmental Sanitation Tax. This new tax will be dedicated to the betterment of the local community. All reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward will be subject to this tax, which is $33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on the exchange rate). This fee will be charged at check-out on top of your paid rent. The tax will support government investment in environmental infrastructure, sustainability practices, and safety and security, among other projects.

Please note that our listings are not directly linked to a specific villa; all villas offer the same amenities and layouts. Each villa has a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace. Views from each villa vary, and we cannot guarantee that the view from your villa will be exactly as shown in the photos, but it will be very similar. We do not accept location requests and manage villas in both Phase I and Phase II.

Pricing and Guest Policies

Our prices are based on the number of guests. Ensure you book for the correct number of guests; if you arrive with more guests than booked, the extra person fee doubles when reporting additional guests during or after check-in. If you are unsure of the final number of guests, you can still add them prior to your arrival at the original extra guest fee, but please do so at least a couple of days before arrival to avoid increased charges.

Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day. Please read our house rules to avoid surprises during your stay, as the Montecristo Community is very strict.

We do not provide salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, sugar, etc.

Health and Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals understands the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and social distancing. To ensure a safe environment for our guests and staff, we have established the following preventive protocols for COVID-19:

Standards of Cleanliness

• Hand sanitizing stations are placed in strategic locations throughout the resorts, such as the front desk, restaurant entrances, and all public areas.
• Cleaning and disinfection protocols using certified sanitization products are focused on high-touch areas.
• Comprehensive general sanitization by a certified third party will be performed prior to reopening and periodically afterward, according to health authority recommendations.

Upon Arrival

• Suitcase sanitization (external) in a steam cabin or with a sanitizing product.
• Guest sanitization cabin and infrared digital thermometers for temperature checks. Guests with temperatures over 38° C (100.4° F) will be checked by a doctor and may not be allowed access.
• Mobile pre-check-in available.

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray as part of in-room amenities; masks and gloves available on request.
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines will be removed from rooms (available on request).

Social Distancing, Personal Hygiene & Health

• Maximum of 2 persons in elevators, except for family members.
• Furniture in public areas will be rearranged per social distancing guidelines (minimum of 1.80 meters/6 feet).

Pool, Spa & Fitness Areas

• Loungers in pool areas will be set in groups of 2 or 4, separated by distances of 1.80 meters (6 feet).
• Sanitization of equipment in fitness centers and wet areas in the spa after each use.
• Maximum capacity set for fitness centers and reduced capacity for the spa.

Food and Beverage

• Furniture will be rearranged in restaurants and bars (1.80 meters/6 feet), and maximum capacities will be established according to social distancing guidelines.
• Social distancing reminders will be placed on all tables.
• Use of masks by food and beverage staff.
• Contactless room service available.
• Menus will be available on mobile devices; physical menus will be removed.

Quivira Golf Club

• Sanitization of golf carts and balls before and after use.
• Maximum capacities established for reception and practice areas.
• Intervals between tee times increased to 15 minutes.
• One golf cart per person, unless otherwise requested by family members.
• New rules established to limit touch points during play (e.g., flagsticks to remain in the hole, bunker rakes to be removed).

In case COVID-19 cases are detected, an on-site detection team, comprised of a physician, the general manager, operations manager, and head of security, in coordination with health authorities, has been created. Protocols have also been established to handle potential cases of COVID-19. A 24/7 medical service is available.

Destination Protocols

Enhanced procedures will be implemented at the SJD International Airport, including thermal cameras and travel background checks on all arriving passengers. The destination is also being certified by a program overseen by the Ministry of Health, which includes new standards for restaurants, hotels, water sports, and touristic activities. Property management will continue to monitor guidelines and update procedures as necessary.

Outside Services

Please be advised that outside services are not allowed in the Quivira Los Cabos Community. This includes private chefs, catering services, grocery shopping services, and maid services. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are permitted.

Extra Guest Charge

Any guest added after the original booking will incur an additional fee. Please ensure the number of people on your reservation corresponds to the total number of guests staying. All guests must be registered, and all applicable guest fees must be paid. The extra guest fee for guests added after the booking is $50 USD per night per person. This cost will increase to $100 USD per night per person for additional guests added during or after check-in.

Villa Assignment

Villa assignment will only be confirmed at check-in; it will not be guaranteed at any point before. This is because we are a multi-unit vacation rental property, and our villas are assigned based on our reservation's departures and arrivals. Thank you for your understanding.

Early Check-Ins

You are welcome to head directly to the clubhouse to the reception desk upon arrival. We cannot confirm at any point whether the villa will be ready for early check-in. We can only confirm that it will be ready at 4:00 p.m. However, if we manage to have it ready earlier, we will be happy to let you in. You are allowed to use the facilities at the clubhouse while you wait. Our team will also store your luggage and groceries until your villa is ready.

Experience

This is a vacation rental experience, which is different from a timeshare or hotel rental booked through the resorts.
