The Space

Our home, known within the community as "Casa de Campo," holds historical significance as one of the first homes built within Hacienda Pinilla. It was reconstructed on the site of the original Casa Hacienda Pinilla, blending modern amenities with historical charm. The architecture is inspired by early 20th-century Spanish Colonial revival style, incorporating locally produced wood and adhering to traditional Costa Rican Hacienda architecture guidelines.

Guest Access

The entire house is yours to explore. Enjoy an easy 4-minute walk on a paved, lit path to our private access beach. Additional amenities include:

• Day and night tennis court access
• 18-hole Mike Young designed golf course with restaurant, clubhouse, pro shop, and practice area
• Beach club with a large pool, restaurants, bar, spa, gym, kids' playground, and surf shop

Access to the JW Marriott facilities is available for an additional cost. Surf lovers will find easy access to surf breaks such as Little Hawaii, Cave Town, and Avellanas Rivermouth.

Our beach features a combination of sand and lava rock formations, perfect for snorkeling, onshore fishing, and spear fishing. Look out for large turtles, tropical fish, eagles, owls, and exotic birds. In addition to our private access beach, Playa Bonita, we also have access to a private beach area at Playa Langosta, which offers incredible surfing, boogie boarding, stand-up paddleboarding, and fishing. Enjoy miles of pristine beaches at Playa Mansita behind the JW Marriott and some of the best surfing and boogie boarding in all of Costa Rica at Playa Avellanas.

Bookings made during the year-end holiday weeks must check in and out on one of the following sets of dates:

1. December 19 - December 26
2. December 22 - December 29
3. December 26 - January 2
4. December 29 - January 5

Long-term rentals are available from May to November. December to April are not available. Please note that the pool does not have a fence around it, so attention should be paid to small children.

There is a Ring doorbell and security camera facing the garden. As of August 20, 2025, our neighbor is constructing a new home, which may result in construction noise from Monday to Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM. No construction is allowed during Christmas holidays, New Year's, and Holy Week. The construction is estimated to continue until November 2025.
