We offer tranquility with serene sunrises on the beach and magical sunsets from your private bungalow patio. The Hernandez family proudly welcomes you to our ancestral homestead at the beginning of the San Fernando Beach Community.

"Casa Hernandez" property stretches from the paved Main Road to the longest stretch of sandy beach, complemented by amazing lake breezes.

• One double bed and one single bed (additional guest surcharge of US$10 per night)
• Ceramic tiled bathroom with warm water showers

Parking is available inside the fenced and gated property. Our homestead includes a variety of fruit trees, herbs, ornamental flowers, and plants. We also have family pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, a rabbit, and even a pig.

Location

Our homestead "Casa Hernandez" is located at the beginning of the San Fernando Beach Community. Nearby amenities include:

• Small shops (pulperias) and produce stalls
• An ATM/cash machine located just a minute's walk to the entrance of Hotel/Restaurant Xalli
• A 5-minute walk to various shops, local comedores, restaurants, and hotels in Santo Domingo
• Approximately a 15-minute walk to the Santa Cruz community, which features many comedores, hotels, a bakery with whole grain or gluten-free products, produce stalls, and the largest grocery shop plus a Saturday market

These communities share the longest stretch of sandy beach between the two volcanoes. The lake in front of our property is shallow with a sand bottom, featuring many shade trees along the beach. Here, you can find shells, seeds, and even shards of pre-Columbian pottery. The natural sandy beach is often vacant, except for occasional soccer games or fishermen, and is frequented by local horses and other domesticated animals, as well as native wildlife, including various species of hawks, waterbirds, iguanas, toads, frogs, squirrels, and more.

Public buses and private taxis pass frequently on the paved Main Road in front of "Casa Hernandez." We can arrange your island tours, volcano hikes, activities, and mainland and island taxi transfers.

Other Things to Note

Manuela and her family live with her mother in an old wood adobe home located towards the beachfront on the ancestral property, ensuring you have plenty of privacy since there are no adjacent neighbors near the bungalow. The family is also completing a studio apartment on the property, which will feature a kitchenette and patio.
