You can arrive at the property by following the road from the center of Balgue, crossing the bridge 'Puente Balgue.' The cabins are conveniently located on the right-hand side of the main road. If you see wooden signs for Selvist, La Bambouseraie, or Bona Fide, you've gone 100 meters too far.
The entire property is surrounded by a lush tropical forest, abundant with plant and animal life. Guests may encounter small, shy jungle animals, including birds, butterflies, bees, monkeys, frogs, toads, spiders, and small bats. While some creatures may take shelter inside, none are aggressive or toxic to humans. The only venomous animal on the island is the coral snake, which is timid and rarely seen.
These creatures contribute to the natural beauty and diversity that make Ometepe a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
