Casita Celeste is a bright and modern eco-casita located right on the golf course in the gated community of Hacienda Iguana. This home is ideal for families or small groups looking to enjoy comfort, privacy, and direct access to nature.

The master bedroom is equipped with a queen-sized bed, comfortable linens, a closet, and an en-suite bathroom. Guest bedroom #1 also has a queen-sized bed, while guest bedroom #2 is furnished with one twin bed and a twin-sized bunk bed. Both guest bedrooms feature comfortable linens and spacious closets. There is a guest bathroom shared by both bedrooms.

The three bedrooms and living room are equipped with air conditioning. Additional amenities include hot water, Wi-Fi, and a smart TV in the living room. Purified drinking water and housekeeping (every other day except for Sundays) are provided free of charge. We can also arrange for an in-home catering service. A backup generator is available in case of power outages. Please note that the housekeeping staff will handle any laundry, as they are the only ones with access to the washer and dryer in the house. This service is included with your stay.

Guests staying in the eco-casita have access to two common area swimming pools: one at the property and another located at the beach club.

Location

This home is situated within the Hacienda Iguana development, known for its world-class surf breaks. There are four surf breaks within walking distance: Playa Colorado, Panga Drops, and Los Perros are in the neighborhood, while Playa Amarillo is to the south of Playa Colorado (accessible at low tide). The development also features a beautiful 9-hole golf course that is well-designed, beautifully maintained, and affordable for guests.

Food Supplies

The best place to get groceries is La Colonia in Rivas, located 100 meters south of the turn-off for Tola on the right (west) side of the street. While in Rivas, you should also refuel, as these are the closest gas stations to where you are staying. We highly recommend stocking up on all or as many groceries as you will need for your entire stay. If you prefer not to deal with planning, shopping, and preparing meals, ask us about booking the meal plan or our full-service catering option.

Eating Out

There are several great dining options within the Hacienda Iguana development. The most visited and only beachfront option is Pili's Kitchen, located at the Beach Club in front of the Colorado Break. It offers a variety of fresh foods, juices, smoothies, and a full bar.

Other dining options include:

• The Salty Koala: Amazing Asian cuisine and craft cocktails, located in La Joya next to the Eco Casitas.
• Casa Ananas: Authentic Italian cuisine, pizza, and daily international specials, located above our office.
• Downtown Iguana: Seafood and authentic Nicaraguan cuisine at a fair price, next to our office/surf shop.
• Scoops and Spokes: Homemade ice cream, good coffee, baked goods, paninis, and fresh juices, located across the street.
• Iguana Brewery: Sports bar fare and local craft beer.

Other recommended spots outside the Hacienda Iguana development include:

• Gigante: El Pozo, Juntos, and Giant’s Foot Surf Camp for Burger Night every Monday.
• Rancho Santana: The Club House, La Boquita tapas restaurant, and La Taquería.
• Limón 1: Avila’s taquería.
• Limón 2: La Calabria brick oven pizza.
• Jiquelite-Playa Santana: Malibu Popoyo, Buena Onda, Costa Oeste, Aloha Bungalows.
• Popoyo: Mag Rock, Café con Leche.
• Las Salinas: Todo con Amor restaurant.

Shopping

We have a well-stocked store (NSR Surf Shop) located inside the Hacienda Iguana development, offering souvenirs, surf accessories, clothing, beach towels, flip flops, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuits, wetsuit vests and tops, rash guards, and more. We also rent scooters, dirt bikes, surfboards, boogie boards, and stand-up paddleboards from this location.

Other businesses in the Hacienda Iguana community include Pure Spa, two small convenience stores with a variety of grocery items, and an ATM located on the property. Other activities in the development include yoga, horseback riding, and in-home massage.

The Riviera commercial plaza is located within half a mile of the Hacienda Iguana entrance, featuring BAC bank with an ATM, a small grocery store (with the basics), and Bagels and Bakes, a café with daily home-baked goods and coffee.

Getting Around

This property is located a 2 to 2.5-hour drive from the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport in Managua and approximately 4 hours from the Liberia Airport in Costa Rica. Most major vehicle rental agencies have locations at the Managua airport, and we recommend making a reservation in advance.

If renting a vehicle, a 4-wheel drive is only necessary if you plan to travel to some of the beaches further south in the San Juan del Sur area. If you prefer not to rent a vehicle, we can arrange airport transportation and daily sightseeing or surf trips. Motorcycle and scooter rentals are available, and we can also arrange vehicle and boat transport to other surf breaks in the area. Alamo and National also offer vehicle rentals, with an office next to Hacienda Iguana.
