Ometepe Casitas

The Space

Ometepe Casitas is a cabin with a private kitchen located on a peaceful and beautiful lakefront property in El Peru, Ometepe. Guests can swim at the calm beach and enjoy stunning views of both the Maderas and Concepcion Volcanoes.

• Rent a kayak and paddle up to the Istian River.
• Rent a scooter to explore the rest of the island.
• Relax at the beach or terrace while watching the sunset, monkeys, and hundreds of birds and parrots flying back to their neighboring trees.

Our property consists of:

• A lakefront house with a second-floor terrace for guest use.
• A beach gazebo.
• Parking spaces.
• A total of three cabins, each accommodating two guests, with approximately six meters of distance between them.

Ometepe is a natural reserve, offering a unique experience surrounded by nature.

Amenities

• Rechargeable fans and lights in each cabin for power outages.
• Solar-powered routers to ensure Wi-Fi access during outages.
• Solar-powered strips in each casita to charge your devices.

Other Things to Note

Staying on an island in paradise comes with its challenges. Power outages are common during heavy rains, strong winds, or regular network maintenance.

• Insects and wildlife are prevalent on the island. While we have tried to bug-proof our indoor facilities, you may still encounter small ants, geckos, or an occasional non-deadly scorpion or spider.
• We recommend keeping doors closed to avoid flying insects entering the house.

Please note that during the rainy season, the 700 meters of dirt road to our property may be a bit rocky in some parts after heavy rains. Although it is mostly flat and better than many other dirt roads on the island, we recommend driving slowly. Having a slightly higher vehicle is a plus.
