The Space

Casa Emma is a Colonial home located in the heart of Granada's Historical Zone, just half a block from Central Park, San Francisco Church, entertainment, and shops.

As you enter through the handcrafted iron gates and hardwood doors, you will be greeted by beautiful 18-foot high cane and exotic wood ceilings. The Sala of the home serves as a cooling sanctuary from the busy streets of the city. Notice the thick adobe walls that provide relief from the warm summer sun.

A large pair of 12-foot handcrafted doors offer more interior privacy and open into the living area, where you can relax on comfortable sofas, hammocks, and rockers. Handcrafted pillars made from tropical hardwoods surround the large, deep swimming pool. Abundant light and breezes flow throughout the home, showcasing the craftsmanship of past ages.

Adjacent to the pool is a fully equipped kitchen for guests who prefer to cook their meals. The kitchen bar has seating for six, and the dining area comfortably seats six to eight. Next to the kitchen is the sofa and TV area. The home has two internet providers, and cable TV, DVDs, games, and pool toys are provided for your enjoyment.

Two of the three well-appointed bedrooms have access to air conditioning, while the high cane ceilings and fans keep the home cool year-round. The small bedroom upstairs has a ceiling fan only. There are three bathrooms, two of which have hot water. An upstairs balcony with rockers and a table is a favorite spot to enjoy a beverage during the early cool mornings or evenings.

Other Things to Note

There is a strict policy in place to protect our guests and Casa Emma. The use or storage of any illegal substances will result in eviction, as it breaks the rental agreement. Guests are also advised not to invite strangers into the house for their own protection.
