The house is surrounded by greenery, birds, and howler monkeys. Scattered throughout the garden, you'll find ancient petroglyphs that add a magical, historic charm to the property.

Considerations

• The base price includes up to 5 guests. Each additional guest (from the 6th onward) costs $25 per person per night.
• We recommend arriving in an SUV or 4x4. Most of the road to the house is paved, but the last 2 kilometers can be bumpy, especially during the rainy season.
• Electricity is not fully included in the rental price. For short-term rentals, we include 30 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per day. If you use more than that, you will be charged $0.50 per kWh. For long-term rentals, electricity is not included and must be paid separately. The average use of electricity is 15-35 kWh per day. Please turn off air conditioning and appliances when not in use, as electricity in Nicaragua, especially Ometepe, is expensive. All guests will be charged for their metered usage and must pay directly (cash only) upon checkout.
• Power outages may occur from time to time, especially during the rainy season. An emergency generator is available for an additional cost of $30 for 4 hours. The generator powers rooms, ceiling fans, and the refrigerator, but does not operate air conditioning units. Please limit the use of candles or other flammable devices during outages, as the house has exposed wood in the walls and ceilings.
• We have three friendly dogs on the property. While they are generally good with guests, we understand that not everyone may want to interact with them, and we will keep them contained during your stay.

• Cleaning services are available for an additional charge of $20, with a request made 1 day in advance.
• A cook can be arranged to assist with meals for an additional charge of $20 per day, with a request made 1 day in advance.
