The place is stunningly beautiful, it has its own access to the beach and the green surroundings are very tranquile. Communication with Erika was always super friendly and she was also very responsive, even on her day off. We suggest reviewing the food offer as we weren’t able to get any breakfast at Casa Paloma (nor any other food) during our stay. Still, we’d love to come back some day!

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Paloma. The place and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We met the host Joyce, who was super lovely and gave us lots of recommendations for things to do in the area. We had a very peaceful stay here and enjoyed sitting by the waterfront looking out on the lake and vulcanoes.

A beautiful place to stay in San Marcos! It’s like staying in a treehouse! There are some bugs, so if that’s not your vibe just be ware you might have some friends! Overall, we had a great time at Casa Paloma!

such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay, five stars! francisco was very helpful for the check-in process, the kayak and paddle boards were so nice to enjoy in the morning on the beautiful lake after yoga on the platform. it’s an easy walk to san marcos and we had no problem getting around. the vibe was very relaxing and rejuvenating with breathtaking views.

Very beautiful location - we loved swimming and paddle boarding from the dock. There was a family there at the same time as us and it was lovely to have coffee with them in the mornings. The team on site were brilliant and there was great communication from the rest of the team, although we never met them. We highly recommend Tzankujil in San Marcos - it costs Q20 to enter but there are great places to jump in and swim. The walk there is easy, but be careful walking back to Casa Paloma after dark. The road is a dirt track and were chased by many stray dogs.

Casa Paloma was a DREAM! Communication was excellent, the little cabin was beautiful and our favorite pet was the outdoor shower! We would love to come back!

The pictures are deceptive, this place is a glorified camping experience. All the amenities besides water and kayaks you have to pay for. There were plants growing through the roof in our room, leaves all over a desk, a dead cockroach in the shower, a pee stain on the sheets… we had to sleep in a bug net. We weren’t informed that all the amenities would be extra until the day before the booking when texted via whats app. This place would be worth the stay for $20 a night as it is. If the amenities are free and it’s managed better it could be worth more. If you go here, expect bugs and lots of walking up and down stairs
