An Unforgettable Experience We had an amazing weekend at the villa celebrating my dad’s birthday with family and friends. Aura took wonderful care of us from beginning to end and brought such warm, positive energy to our stay. The house is spectacular, and every bedroom has its own private bathroom, which made everything very comfortable for our group. We also loved having complimentary access to the Beach Club, the pool, and the golf carts. One of our favorite experiences was a mountain bike tour through Hacienda Pinilla, where we enjoyed the wildlife and beautiful surroundings. It was also my five-month-old nephew’s first time seeing the ocean and touching the sand, which made the trip even more special. We left with beautiful memories and would gladly return. We highly recommend this home and its hosts. 🙏

We have such an amazing week at Sindy’s house. The house had everything we needed for the week and the daily housekeeping was a wonderful touch. It was beautiful property and a perfect layout with plenty of space for our party of 7. The beach club was nice and easy to access with the golf cart and it’s an easy drive into town (worth renting a car if you want to go into town often). We can’t wait to return!

This home was located within the stunning Hacienda Pinilla community. It was secluded, serene and spacious enough for our 9 member family to enjoy for an entire week without feeling like we were living on top of one another. We thoroughly enjoyed not only the backyard pool but also the incredible Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club. It was a short (~7-10 min) golf cart ride away and had incredible amenities including workout classes, a gym, showers/air conditioned bathrooms, a restaurant, and a lovely infinity pool with a kiddie end. It also offered access to Playa Avellana which was stunning — amazing for walking, surfing, tide pool viewing and even a short cut to Lola’s (a local beachfront restaurant/bar with amazing sunsets) during low tide. We enjoyed every minute of our time in Costa Rica celebrating my dad’s retirement and could not have done it without the concierge, Viki. She was NEXT LEVEL! Thank you for making this the trip of a lifetime and being so accommodating and hospitable.

We had an absolutely lovely time here. The house is beautiful and the pool private and wonderfully maintained. We were thrilled when 8 or 10 scarlet macaws visited a tree in the garden daily. Vicky was amazing making all our dinner reservations and taking care of absolutely everything. A lovely housekeeper Angela visited daily which was a lovely perk.

We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Buena Vida in Hacienda Pinilla! The home was beautiful, and the pool and backyard area were absolutely amazing — we spent most of our days relaxing out there. Viki, the concierge, was fantastic. She was incredibly attentive, gave us a great tour on the first day, and arranged a few excursions that were completely seamless. Even the owner, Sindy, went above and beyond by helping us find a basketball so our son could use the neighborhood court. Thank you for an awesome week — we can’t wait to come back!

Loved my stay here! It was perfect. Everything was close by, the co-host Laurita was extremely helpful in planning the entire experience. She was able to give us amazing recommendations for a boat charter! I’m working with her again on another trip coming up! The house was clean, the location was great, and they were so responsive. The water pressure one day was a little weak, and within a few hours they had someone come out to fix it! They were so attentive to our needs and ensuring we had an awesome experience. Would definitely stay at this house again. Also, the wildlife in Hacienda Pinilla is awesome! We saw so many macaws in the trees on the property. Saw monkeys on the way to dinner and cows! The pool was so refreshing and clean.

Great place to stay, very comfortable and private for a large group of 12 people. The pool is very nice and very clean, everything is super equipped and recommended. The area is very quiet and safe. highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was even more beautiful than the amazing pictures. Mani and Sindy were such gracious and responsive hosts—we truly couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. We traveled with three kids, and none of us wanted to leave! The pool was incredible, and our kids couldn’t wait to jump in every single day. Having daily housekeeping was such a wonderful bonus that made our stay even more relaxing. The true highlight of our trip was Viki. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made our stay truly special. She even organized an unforgettable excursion for our son’s birthday, complete with a surprise birthday cake—a thoughtful and kind gesture that made the day extra memorable. We honestly can’t say enough about our stay—it was perfect in every way. Our kids are already planning our return! Thank you, Sindy, Mani, and Viki, for an unforgettable trip!

We were really satisfied with our stay! The house matched the photos perfectly, and the pool was amazing — we enjoyed it late into the night. The host was fantastic, offering lots of local recommendations and even gave us a tour of the nearby beaches, which really helped us get familiar with the Hacienda Pinilla area. We truly enjoyed our vacation and would love to come back!

We had a great stay in Costa Rica. The home is beautiful but the house staff really stood out. Julie was amazing with helping us plan our trip and was responsive to the few issues we had in the home. She even helped book a last minute trip into town. Yancini the chef/housekeeper was so friendly and made us feel at home. Her food was delicious and we so appreciate her breakfast in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay at Buena Vida House! The property is beautiful—peaceful, private, and surrounded by lush greenery. The house was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches throughout. The outdoor spaces were a highlight—lounging by the pool, listening to the birds and soaking in the tranquility made this a perfect place to unwind. The location is ideal: close enough to town and the beach to be convenient, but tucked away enough to feel like a retreat. Our hosts were responsive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. They offered great local recommendations and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend Buena Vida House for anyone looking for a relaxing, authentic Costa Rica experience. We’d love to come back!

Great stay and location, the only con was the bugs/insects in the house. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.
