Barbara was great! House was beautiful and loved how the place got cleaned each day. Small kitchen but it worked. A bit of a walk to town but very doable. Beach is right at your feet. Would definitely recommend!

Barbara’s place is lovely. The unique design is also very comfortable, and there is plenty of room for the whole group. The large sliding glass walls in the living room really connect you to the ocean.

Great spot on the beach! Luisa and her daughter were there daily and were warm, friendly, and excellent cooks! Had a great time here.

This was our second weeklong family gathering at Barbara’s place. Perfect for a mix of ages, children and parents and grandparents. Right on the beach, feet from the ocean, walking distance to Playa del Carmen, and daily maid service that helps keeps the place tidy. The maid service can also cook meals for you …. Though the kitchen is great for do it yourselfers.

This is the second time my family and I have returned to Casa en el Mar and we would do it a thousand more times. The house is 100% as shown in the pictures and the service of Luisa and Nayeli make the stay unique. You feel at home, but on vacation. Barbara is always super communicative and willing to help in any way. It's a unique experience! The beach is at the foot of the house and very clean. Super family atmosphere and with 5th Avenue 5 minutes away for all kinds of experiences. Thank you very much!

The house is the same as in the photos ! The sea is literally beach front! It's just a matter of walking 20 steps . The subdivision is very safe, we were going for a run in the mornings and it is very clean and quiet . The house has everything you need for cooking and relaxing. The girls in charge of the house and cooking are very friendly and cook very rich. Everything was excellent!

Perfect place for several families with small children. Views fantastic. Right on the beach. Daily maid service kept sand down. Lots of space to be together in group or to escape for privacy.

We had a tremendous stay at Barbara's beautiful home right on the beach in Playacar, a lovely gated ocean-front community just south of Playa del Carmen. We were a family of five enjoying a warm-weather break from the cold northeast US (the home could have fit several more people also!). The home is comfortable, spacious, updated, beautifully furnished, and right on the lovely beach, with stunning views of the ocean from much of the house. We really enjoyed the large deck with lounge furniture, outdoor shower, dining table and chairs, and small pool, right on/above the beach and sea for swimming. The walk to the bustling town of Playa del Carmen is about one mile, which we did often. We also rented a car for grocery shopping and excursions. The housekeeper Luisa and her daughter are lovely, too! We paid a little extra to have them cook delicious fresh Mexican lunches for us on several days. We loved it all!

Barbara was an amazing host. The house was clean and beautiful. She helped me with car service, meals & local recommendations. The house staff was incredible. Pool was cleaned daily. Photos don’t do this house justice. I highly recommend this house for families with children. We felt safe and comfortable.
