We loved our stay at Kitty’s Place. It was perfect for myself, husband, 5 year old, and father. We rented a car so we could take day trips here and there, and the house had everything we needed to feel right at home with the benefit of a gorgeous private location with sunrises over the water. Highly recommend if you have the chance to stay in Placencia! We loved the bookshelves filled with natural history books, cultural heritage, and fiction.

We enjoyed our stay at Kitty’s and found everything we needed. We found the kitchen well equipped and were able to easily make a few meals during our stay. The view from the deck and being right on the beach was lovely. We watched the birds and squirrels in the trees and listened to the waves. The house is definitely dated and could use some updating. The furniture is ok but not really comfortable. The kitchen table has wood splintering off in parts. The outdoor furniture needs replacing. There are 4 plastic chairs and an old plastic table on the deck which were ok, but not very comfortable. For beach loungers, there were three of them, all of which were broken and very old. We made due, but I would highly recommend replacing the loungers so guests can enjoy the beach comfortably. Also, there is a caretaker who lives in the lower level of the house. We were not bothered by this but he is there much of the time. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was even better than we were hoping. The property was very private with no neighbors in sight for the 2 nights we were there.

Kitty’s Beach house had hard to find amenities and was priced well below comparable places. The best kitchen we saw, a great deep bath tub and separate shower with endless hot water (unheard of). Laundry on site. Walkable to other resorts/restaurants, minutes from airport, secluded, spacious, second floor and seas winds made for no mosquitos (we were worried). Plenty of spaces to spread out inside and outside (important for my teen). We will be back!

What an amazing "home-away-from-home"... Andres & Hubert were great caretakers & took care of us like lifelong friends. My only request would have been better beach chairs ( but what we used did the trick) and better patio set as we spent so much time on the patio. the house is older, but loved. we love it now too!

An amazing little place with an amazing view and location. Private beach is the perfect addition to this old but beautiful home. Close to the town and the many amenities Placencia offers. My family and I had an amazing experience. Definitely a do again location.

The owner has obviously kept its upkeeping to a minimum. During the first week of our arrival, we had to clean the floors and the shower (water was running grey when washing); contacted the concierge to fix a toilet and a plugged up sink and buy a few basic tools for the kitchen to be able to cook. Note that you are renting the upper floor of the house. The ground floor is rented to someone who has people over all the time. This information is important to know since the walls are paper thin. You will have no privacy. We could hear the people downstairs as they cooked, went to the bathroom, take a shower, speak, sneeze and even hear what they were listening to on their mobile and understand clearly the other person over their phone as they FaceTimed. The spot of the house is perfect and it was wonderful to have the beach practically to ourselves. Also, when you contact the Concierge service through Airbnb, you will always have a very prompt response, which we greatly appreciated.

Hi Martin. Thanks for taking the time to review our place. Just to clarify, the downstairs is not rented, but rather the grounds man stays there. Sorry there was noise, we have already talked and not allowed any other people while guests are there. Glad you enjoyed our spot in Paradise as do all our guests.

Easy in person check in & host gave local recommendations. We had a slight issue with the Wi-Fi and it was taken care of immediately. Lovely breeze off the ocean to sit on the porch or lay in the hammock. We opened the doors/windows and the breeze kept the house cool. We drove to and were able to park easily to enjoy the restaurants nearby. The man the maintains the property lives on the bottom level and was very kind and assisted us in trying a coconut water right from the tree. We reserved a private boat from that host recommended they picked us up right in front of the house in the boat and we had a fabulous day snorkeling and relaxing at Moho. I highly recommend this. We also tried Hobb’s Brewing Company and enjoyed the beer and atmosphere there. We swam and waded in the water right in front of the house and enjoyed the sunrise each morning. We loved “the shack” for breakfast especially their smoothies. Grocery/pharmacy nearby.

What a wonderful location. It is exactly as described. We traveled with a 3 yo and an 8 month old. It was perfect for our family. Traveling with a family? Consider this location. Food in the area is great, and we took turns diving and watching the kids. The location is great for that. We really enjoyed ourselves.

It was nice to have a private house right on the beach but the sand flies were so bad we couldn't sit outside and enjoy our view. I used bug spray and pants and long sleeve shirt but we still got bites. It would have been much nicer if they would have raked up the seaweed and garbage on their beautiful private beach. The house and furniture haven't been updated in many years and the outdoor lawn chairs were all dusty. There was a terrible dead mice/garbage odor coming from an open garbage shoot door in one of the bathrooms. I complained and someone came over that day and closed it up but I could still the odor just not as bad. I didn't have AC in my bedroom and I couldn't open the windows and it was very hot and stuffy. I forgot to complain about that until before our last night and someone came over and got that fixed so that was good. Zun, the concierge, was very good in helping to get the problems fixed.

What a lovely place with a private beach! The place is on the top floor of a house that’s right on the water. The one issue we had is that we needed to do video conferencing and strong internet connection and we did have a few issues with it going in and out. An ethernet cable helped a bit. Other that that it was a great spot with birdwatching and a lovely view from the balcony.

Everything was advertised but there is a friendly caretaker that lives in the downstairs of the house. He is quiet and even chopped a few coconuts for us. We were a little disappointed to find out that we would be "sharing" the house with someone on our honeymoon though. Other then that everything was great! The property was pretty private and the property management gets 1000% on communication. We would stay here again!
