We stayed 2 nights with family at Mariella’s house and loved every bit of it. We had no trouble finding it. The road was in great shape and we had no trouble getting there with our van. Milena welcomed us when we got there and showed us the house. She was very helpful during our stay cleaning the floors and washing the dishes. She made a fried fish supper for us and they were the best! She also made breakfast for us one morning. The house was very clean with plenty of room for our group of 12. The pool is small but was perfect for our group of young children. They spent as much time in there as on the beach which is right in front of the house. We enjoyed spending time in the sand and in the water and watching the beautiful sunsets. The neighborhood is very quiet. The town of masachapa is a 5-10 min drive away and has the basics. We found some pulperías that had groceries and basic household items, some decent restaurants, and bought some fresh fish. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

The stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The place was clean, well-organized, and had everything you needed to feel comfortable. In addition, the hosts were very friendly and always available to address any questions or needs that arose. Definitely an excellent experience.

The road is very good, it was only a very small stretch that had stones. The impeccable and comfortable facilities and the very friendly managers. The private and clean beach. It was a good experience and I would definitely come back.

Gracias Alejandra por tus recomendaciones Ahorita estan construyendo una rotonda de la costanera para entrar a Pochomil Viejo, pronto tendremos calle pavimentada! Por el momento, vehiculos bajos tienen que ir despacio Recomendamos usar el camino alterno, que es el siguiente: Cuando van entrando a Masachapa en la calle sombreada de los arboles, y ven los tanques azules de agua a mano derecha, enfrente, o sea a mano izquierda de la carretera hay una calle de tierra que esta buena, siempre carros bajos tienen que ir despacio. Esa calle de tierra los lleva a la construccion de la costanera donde hay un desvio para entrar a nuestra zona del Madrono Ojala pronto terminen la construccion!

The property is old, you can tell it's not maintained. Old beds, old towels, old kitchen utensils, old bedding. It's a property that's not maintained. Poor presentation from the entrance The host is arrogant, demanding with the contract and extra charges outside of this app. i don't recommend this place.

Hello Dania, I am really sorry to read your comment. I have always had great communication with my guests, as I did with your group. The extra charge that was made for your group was because you did not respect the maximum people allowed, you took 4 extra guests. I made an exception for your group, which I barely do, and as stated in Airbnb there is a charge for extra people. I have been a super host and haven’t had complaints about the issues you reported with the bedding’s and towels, we will definitely look into that and thanks for this recommendation.

Splendid hideaway beach house in Old Pochomil. Spacious and elegant house with a fantastic patio and wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. A little hard to get to, but the effort pays off especially if you like privacy and seclusion. The majestic sunsets are worth the price of admission! Definitely recommend this property to families seeking relaxation in a beachfront setting. Oh! And big shout out to Marlon and his family for all the help and hospitality.
