Amazing location and view of the sea!! Has everything you need. Rent a scooter to easily explore the island. Comfortable beds and even hot water!! Helen will welcome you and even cook a meal if you like!! We had some delicious lobster!! She's wonderful!

La Lodge on Big Corn Island was an ideal accommodation. The private beach access, walkability to restaurants & bars, and a peaceful location. The Turtle’s Nest was perfect Airbnb for us - beautiful views of the Caribbean, a stocked kitchen, and beach towels. Helen was extremely helpful! She helped us call taxis and the food she makes upon request was delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Dons and would definitely come back. Plenty of space, clean and quiet. If you have any concerns about sleeping in a bunk bed like I did don’t worry they are very comfortable. Helen who oversees the property is fantastic. She will help you with anything you need from car rental to great food.

I stayed here for a little over a week and absolutely loved it. The location is top-notch - hands down the most beautiful beach on the island. La Lodge is tucked away in a quiet corner, making it feel peaceful and pristine. The apartment itself was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook, and the beds were incredibly cozy. I would definitely stay here again. Helen, who takes care of the property, was the sweetest and made the experience even better!

We loved our stay there, 2 steps from the beach, the lady on site was really available to answer our questions and help us if there was anything. There are restaurants not too far away too and grocery stores.

We have stayed at Turtles Nest before. Our experience is really good. The apartment functions nicely for 4-5 people. Staff is most helpful.

Beautiful home, but disappointing experience with the host. (Helen) The house itself was beautiful — clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host initially was welcoming but then became unresponsive. Unfortunately, the experience with the taxi arranged through Helen was not good. We were told the taxi would arrive in 10 minutes but waited about 30. The driver picked up another passenger along the way and was rude when we arrived, demanding more money than the amount originally mentioned. We paid what he asked — and immediately the host messaged us saying we hadn’t paid enough, even though we explained that we gave him what he requested. After that, we never received a response. Our first morning at 8:46 am the power went out. Again left on read with no response. The house itself was great, but we’d recommend arranging everything else on your own as the host was unresponsive after the first day. Unprofessional.

So sorry you had a disappointment. Thank you for the chance to make sure future guests do not have the same experience. Corn Island is currently doing maintenance and upgrading the electrical grid. La Lodge has a generator that handles the lapses in energy. When the gas tanks for the generator run out they must be changed. It takes about 15 minutes. At 8:46 that is what Helen was doing. A recent enforcement of licensing has thinned the fleet of cab drivers. Cabs on CornIsland operate similar to a bus. If you call a cab and they already have a customer but there is room in the cab for you ,are expected to get in. As to the price it is 1$ or 36 cords per "person" And per stop. Sorry if your understanding was 1$ for two and unlimited destinations for two people. Looking at it from both sides it would "given today's gas prices" be hard for a taxi driver to feed his children. There are cars, quads and scooters for rent at very economical prices. Renting them would eliminate the wait, perceived rudeness,and need to ride share. I must say your opinion of Helen is not shared by 99.9 % of our quests. She has been compared to a second mother by many. Thanks for your many compliments on the home.

The place was very nice. We had a beach all to ourselves and also opportunities for water sports. Helen cooks for guests on request and it is highly recommended. She is a great cook. I would book this home again.
