Very poor experience as it relates to the house. This was our fifth visit to the area and by far the worst accommodations. Arrived Saturday and greeted by Vacation Nosara rep. Gate lock not working, gate lights not working, tv not working (was finally replaced after five days with what could be described as a large computer monitor), outdoor patio fan not working, and most importantly neither the washer or dryer were operable the entire week. After five days with our three kids, Vacation Nosara kindly came to grab our dirty clothes and soaked house towels to launder on our behalf. Prior to that, we had been washing clothes in the shower. The owner (who was aware of the issues and never resolved any of them) comically offered our family of five a $50 credit at their favorite local restaurant Il Pepperoni.... No thank you. Aside from maintenance issues, house is surrounded by other new homes and construction projects. Perfect if you like the sound of tools and blaring music

Host Response

So bummed to see this, our only negative guest experience out of dozens--, our management co informed us of an issue w the TV (replaced the next day), and an issue w the washing machine (our management company did their laundry for them the next day), they shared the guests were happy with the resolution, and we said hey, lets send them to our favorite restaurant and support the local economy, as a gesture.

The place is just like in the pictures. Beautiful and wonderful for a family of 4. The salt water pool was great for the kids, and it was 5 min walk to the beach. Pelada is more chill than Guiones, so if you are looking to relax away from crowds Pelada is great. But if you want to be close to shops and bars Guiones may be better. Although, they say you can surf at Pelada, there really isn’t surfing there. The swimming is also not great. Having said that, the beach is beautiful and the sunsets there are amazing. Although there are limited options for restaurant and Shops in Pelada, the best restaurant we visited La Luna is right there. Vacation Nosara was helpful and attentive, communication was great. Anything we needed they were there to fix. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

An absolutely unforgettable private beach getaway! My husband and I spent four days, at this beautiful private beach retreat. We enjoyed swimming in the salt water pool, cooking meals in the well appointed kitchen. Relaxing, and enjoying the surrounding area. Playa Pelada is an extremely short 3 minute walk. There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within walkable distance. We rented a 4x4 vehicle to get around Costa Rica, which is highly recommended! It was just what we needed to recharge! The host was extremely accommodating and helpful, with great communication.

We loved our stay at Nido del Alma. Everything was as described - and more. It was a perfect home for our family of 4: spotless, cozy, private, with a great (small) pool, and an easy walk to the beach. The thing we didn't expect was the ever-present availability of the Vacation Nosara staff via text. These people were extremely helpful in booking activities, making recommendations, and generally helping to maximize our journey. I've never had anything like this experience with an AirBnb: all the perks of staying in someone else's home, but with the personal touch of a hotel concierge. I didn't even know we needed that, but it was a big perk and our vacation would've been much different without it. Suffice to say, I highly recommend this listing and hope to stay with my family there again.

Host Response

Hello Jason, thank you so much for your comments, our aim is always perfection & we are so happy you stayed with us, come back soon, VACATION NOSARA

This house is absolutely STUNNING. The indoors blends easily with the outdoors and it made for slow mornings. I would work outside while our kids played in the pool. The neighborhood was quieter than Playa Guiones, and we ended up going there to 'beach' everyday but it was a quick 5-10 minute drive. The bodega nearby was a daily stop, they had every "Western" amenity you could think of. Whenever we had issues like a dead batteries in the TV remote to jungle ants coming into the house, the staff would be right over, resolving any issue and made sure our stay was comfortable and safe. They arranged our turtle hatching tour with transportation too which was breathtaking. If you've never been to this area of Costa Rica before, let me give you a heads up that it feels very remote and undeveloped, but once you detox and settle in, you start to really getaway from the hectic lives we live in the US and you start to understand Pura Vida. Do yourself a favor and book this place!
