4BR Villa in San Juanillo

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

Excellent place! The house is as seen in the photos and everything was very clean when we arrived. The pool is large and was spotless. We enjoyed it very much. Communication with the host and with the man who takes care of the house was excellent. They were always very friendly. Also, we loved meeting Roco. He's such a cute little dog! We would definitely stay here again.

Great experience! Our stay at Quinta El Poblado in Orotina exceeded all expectations. The place is even better than in the photos: very spacious, clean and fully equipped to ensure a comfortable and pleasant visit. The pool is huge, ideal for sharing as a group, and the whole house has excellent ventilation, so we never feel hot. The air conditioning in the rooms worked perfectly. A special thanks to Justin, the maintenance manager, who lives nearby but far enough away to respect privacy. He was always very attentive and helpful, even got us a disco light for the ranch at my mom's birthday party. A great gesture! Special mention for Toby, the property's dog, who was affectionate, polite and accompanied us throughout our stay. The only thing to note is that check-out time is quite early (10 a.m.), which may feel a little early.

The place is beautiful, the pool is very nice and the air conditioners cool down the place excellently. The house is well furnished, with many materials available and the equipment works very well, except the internet, which did not work and was a problem for us, since we needed to work. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for that reason. Also, in the end they asked us to stay until they checked the whole house to make sure we didn't take anything, which was uncomfortable. Another negative point was the cleanliness: we found a dead locust and a lot of animal droppings in the grill area, a cockroach in the room and several areas that were not completely clean. They also made an unfortunate comment to us saying that gringos leave the house clean, but ticos don't, which we found unnecessary and discriminatory. In short, the place has a lot of potential, but there are important details that should be improved to provide a better experience.

Host Response

We had a great time in this accommodation, easy to get to, supermarkets and restaurants nearby, Justino the man who maintains the property is very attentive and helpful, the only thing is that there was little water pressure and they should already change the appliances, they still work, but they are already very old and worn out, but in general very good accommodation if you want to get away from the city for a while and be in a private and quiet place surrounded by nature

This home and property were absolutely beautiful. The grounds were breathtaking with many lush trees, flowers, and butterflies. Our family really enjoyed the pool area. The home has plenty of space and a well stocked kitchen. We love the high ceilings and rustic decor. Justino, the groundskeeper, was very helpful and always willing to answer any questions about the area. We would love to visit the home again. Highly recommended.
