Great stay at Kristi's! The house is beautiful with direct ocean views from the deck. The location is ideal because it's close to many other villages but much quieter; it's perfect for relaxing. A peaceful haven surrounded by monkeys and geckos—we loved it!

Wonderful place, very private and with a spectacular view! Everything was clean and checking in went easy. Totally recommended!

Amazing location with unique setting just a short walk from a large, barely frequented Pacific beach. Very pleasant house to stay in surrounded by nature - not overlooked and no mosquitoes! Host Kristi is proactive and responsive and very friendly!

We had the BEST 2 weeks at Casa Alta! The views, the ocean breeze & watching the sunsets were magical! We loved the location, very quiet and away from the crowds but close enough to everything we needed. Kristi was the absolute best host ... she was very prompt to answer any questions we had. She also arranged a sunset horseback ride, an airport shuttle & 4 wheelers delivered right to the house! She went above & beyond! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Great house! Very close to the beach with an ocean view. There was a pineapple, jug of water, and coffee when we arrived which was great! Kristi was very responsive in fixing some issues and gave us a partial refund when one of the bathrooms was out of order for a day while they were fixing it. Would definitely stay again!

Pretty house, well equipped, a 5 minutes walk to the beach

The house is a dream! It has been wonderfully built, furnished and equipped. The location is hard to get around: just a few steps away from the beach. We can wholeheartedly recommend the house and look forward to our next visit!

We stayed at Casa Alta for 2 weeks and loved it! The sunsets on the beach or the patio were great every night. There was lots of wildlife to observe the whole time. We ate at the restaurant that was a few minutes walk down the road many times as they have great food. With all the doors open it made for a very nice open air feel with the ocean breeze flowing through. It was also cool that you can hear the ocean from the casa. The beach is not crowded at all. Many times we were the only ones there! We would definitely stay at Casa Alta again and would highly recommend it! Kristi couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant! She arranged our airport shuttles from Liberia airport and back, as well as an ATV to be dropped off and picked up at the casa for us. All of her recommendations for the area were spot on. Whenever we had any questions or concerns, she was quick to reply. We couldn't have asked for a better host!

A hidden gem and in one of the remaining pristine beaches. Our family enjoyed the natural beauty of the beach and ocean.

This is an amazing home with spectacular views yet maintains your privacy. It is a world away from the hustle and bustle that is Santa Teresa. A great beach for walking/running at low tide. The home is very clean and well kept. There are countless resturants between the home and Santa Teresa but we mostly ate at the resturant just down the road as the food was always tasty. At low tide we SUP to the reef just out from the river for decent snorkeling. All in all a very pleasant stay.....hard to leave.

So, first of all, Kristi is a fantastic person. She was extremely helpful with everything including finding or recommending local restaurants, surfing spots/instructors, yoga locals, dive shops, etc. Whatever questions we had, she was more than happy to help. Secondly, the place was beautiful and peaceful. Clean linens and comfortable pillows made sleeping a joy after a long and exciting day. Infrastructure in CR can be a little delicate, but Casa Alta is more than capable of keeping your stay stress and hassle free. The beach is at your fingertips and Santa Teresa is only a few minutes away when you want to be a little more social. 10/10 recommend both Casa Alta and Kristi.
