We loved Wil's place. First, the view is amazing. The photos don't do it justice. Wil and his dad are very friendly and the place is quite comfortable. It's a bit far from downtown Monteverde, but there's a small market nearby, and they also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner service. The family lives on the same estate/property and has two cats, one that will want to play with you and sometimes come into the house. Overall, I recommend staying at Wil's AirBnb!

We had a great time at Wil's cottage. The view over the green hills is great, and from the balcony you can watch sunsets and rainbows. The place was clean and well appointed. There is even a warm rain shower with a view of the countryside. But the highlight was the freshly served coffee from Wil in the morning, right next to his own coffee plants. 10/10!

We had a lovely couple of nights at Wil's place. The view was incredible-definitely make sure you have time to enjoy! Wil was very friendly and we enjoyed dinners and coffees from the farm along with good conversations. Would definitely come back again

Staying with William was definitely the highlight of our trip. We based our airbnb stays around the hosts and this was truly the most heartfelt and special moments of our trip. Having coffee in the mornings and sharing dinner with William made us remember what life is really all about. We will cherish our moments spent here and will absolutely return when in the area. Not to mention, the views are gorgeous and the quiet you find here is perfect. We don’t mind/quite prefer to be outside of cities so we were good with being out of Santa Elena a short drive. This is a place of respite. If you’re looking to slow down and soak in the culture and peace of Costa Rica, you must stay here. Pura Vida

We had a wonderful stay! The family is so kind and welcoming! Very helpful when asking for local recommendations and very responsive as well. The views are amazing and a great sunset spot. The meals and coffee were delicious. We will definitely stay here again when back in the area!

Super nice, quiet location with a beautiful view and also wonderful to retreat to after activities and to sit comfortably on the terrace in the company of the cat Paquito. The owners are also friendly and arrange tours that appeal to you.

An absolute gem, the view is amazing and the cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The hot shower was great! Well stocked kitchen. Wil is a wonderful host and was so great to get to know over cups of coffee made with beans grown on his farm. His family is lovely :) He also makes a delicious dinner and other meals that you can enjoy while watching all the birds and animals. We can not recommend his place enough!! If your a coffee lover this is definitely for you. Thank you again Wil, we were so happy to stay with you 😊✨

If you’re considering staying here—do it. This was hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. William is an incredible host. Every morning he made us fresh breakfast that was honestly better than most restaurants, along with fresh-ground coffee grown right on the property. You can’t beat that. What really set this place apart, though, was the hospitality. We had dinner with William and his family one night, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. Just a genuinely great time getting to know them and experience the culture in a real way. The scenery is beautiful—rustic, peaceful, exactly what you hope for when coming to Costa Rica. But the time we spent with William and his family is what we’ll remember the most. Highly recommend. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Stunning view, such a relaxing place. Great hosting. The family is lovely. A small kitchen had just been installed, which was very convenient given the relative distance from the center.

Pictures don’t do this place justice - views are breathtaking. Everything was super clean as well. Wil is an amazing host that made you feel right at home. Genuinely great guy. Make sure to try some of his coffee and his delicious cooking. I’d definitely stay here again.

Wil and his family were simply wonderful and made us feel like one of their own. We were able to have dinner with them the first night of our stay and get to know them which was such a treat. Wil and family were always happy to help with recommendations and get a last minute tour of their family coffee farm. Anyone who is looking for a peaceful stay in the mountains of Monteverde this is the spot for you.

Beautiful! We enjoyed the coffee and tour as well as excellent food and sunsets. Wil and his family made us feel a part of their family. The road to get there is not paved. We were driving a smaller car. It would have been an easier drive with a SUV type of vehicle, but we made it and it was worth the trip.

Costa Rica is full of amazing experiences. From zip lining to surfing to wildlife viewing, it truly offers something for everyone. But through all of our adventures, staying with Wil and his family was the highlight of our trip. Being immersed in the mountains of Monteverde with views of the cloud forest and the Pacific Ocean would have been enough to make our stay worthwhile. But being able to spend time with Wil and his family is what made our stay unforgettable. We will cherish drinking coffee early in the morning with Wil, taking a tour of the family coffee farm, and relaxing on the porch as the clouds rolled over the hills. Staying with Wil is an authentic Costa Rican experience that should be at the top of your list. We can’t wait to go back!
