A great house with a special concept, without windows but with everything screened with mosquito nets. The living room with open kitchen on the upper floor is very spacious and has a large balcony where you can enjoy great wildlife watching. The beds are large and comfortable; there is no A/C. For me, the choice was between letting the (strong) ceiling fan blow on me at the 1st setting or sweating a bit. 3 bathrooms with a toilet and shower, all very spacious. Walking through the garden to the sea, we saw monkeys, macaws, wild boars and other animals. Incredibly beautiful. The direct access to the sea is ok for surfers, but not ideal for swimming or splashing around. However, about 5 minutes away by car, there is a hidden dream beach, far from the tourist crowds. Great overall stay.

Wow, perfect home from home! Osa (and Matapalo) is a magical place. A paradise on Earth. We loved the location of the house - monkeys in the trees, macawas in the air, coatis on the ground ... Some steps from the ocean, very nice and a not so small pool. The house is very big and nicely appointed. The nets iun all the windos create a very effcient barrier for the bugs, the lack of AC is really not felt - the fans do the job. The hosts are very kind, extermely helpful but non-intrusive. I usually do not come back to places I have already visited but I hope here I can and will make an exception - 1 week was by far not enough.

We had the perfect week at Jenn and Chads place! Tons of spider and howler monkeys around, macaws flying through the trees, such a peaceful place. The beaches were GORGEOUS, it’s like being in a postcard. Jenn and Chad had superb recommendations for food, beaches, and things to do. Martina’s is especially delicious (try the tuna!) and we found some perfect take homes at their craft market. Backwash beach was my favorite, perfect serene swimming beach with ample shade. We really appreciated the board rack and getting the intel on the waves in the area. If you’re looking for surf, wildlife, or just a relaxing get away, this is the place. 10/10 absolutely would stay again!

Our stay at Jenn's place was an experience! A place that connects you with nature like few I've seen. Matapalo is already a special place, and Jenn's house is the cherry on top! It's a few steps from the beach and surrounded by lush nature and many special animals to observe! It is a peaceful place for those seeking tranquility, calm, connection and exclusivity. Matapalo was my favorite place in all of Costa Rica, and staying at Jenn's house made everything even more special! We'll definitely be coming back… I highly recommend it!

If you’re looking for a beautiful treehouse in the middle of the jungle, this is the place to be. Chad was an incredible host. Gave us the best instructions around the area, about surfing and restaurants. The house is so beautiful and it is completely integrated to the amazing nature surrounding us. I will definitely come back to this place.

This Airbnb is exactly as described in a beautiful location. It’s plenty spacious for a large family. Its open air concept is a fantastic design. So much thought went into designing this home. The pool is lovely and the yard is full of a variety of wildlife, which is such a special treat. Chad was very helpful and responsive all the time. The kitchen is well appointed. We got laundry done no problem. Beds were very comfortable. Loved all the linens. We surfed, hiked to a waterfall, went horseback riding on the beach with Miguel which I highly recommend, along with a beach massage from Nikki. The location was great and not too far from the main town of puerto Jiménez! We hope to be back one day!!

Paradise! Enjoyed waking up to Howler monkeys and other animals in a beautiful home. Pool is perfect for kiddos and the short walk to an empty beach is ideal. The house is spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Great, place in the middle of nature, with loads of wild animals! Jennifer and the local manager were awesome people, easy to communicate with, gave us information contacts to taxi and organized a surfboard. :) Definitely recommendable!

This place genuinely exceeded our expectations in every way. Spacious, beautiful, and fully immersed in the jungle; it felt less like a rental and more like a home we never wanted to leave. What made it special though was the life all around us. Watching monkeys swing through the trees and little critters wander through the property became the highlight of every morning. It reminded us why we travel in the first place. The hosts were the kind of people who make you feel like you matter. They showed up every day! Not just to clean the pool, but to check in, share tips, and make sure we were having the trip of our lives. With beaches, local spots, and great restaurants just a short drive away, we had everything we needed. Town is 20–30 minutes out, but honestly we rarely wanted to leave. If you're craving a real reset surrounded by nature and genuine hospitality, this is it.

Where do I even begin!! Without a doubt one of the most extraordinary places we have ever stayed. A dream come true. Waking up every morning to spider monkeys and capuchin monkeys swinging through the trees a few feet away — unreal. You’ll experience the unrivaled biodiversity of the Osa just by spending time here. Howler monkeys all around. Macaws flying overhead constantly. The beach on the property!! The cabin itself is absolutely amazing, with delightful design details, and extremely good air circulation so the nights are magically cool despite the daytime heat. Jenn & Chad are the kindest and coolest people imaginable, and they have so many spot-on recommendations for the area. With most of the roads now paved it’s very easy to access. You’re nestled in nature, and it feels extremely private even with a couple other houses on the property. Everything is breathtaking, do not hesitate.

Jenn was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and welcoming, and the place was absolutely gorgeous. We got a lot of amazing local recommendations and connections from Jenn. Matapalo is truly a hidden gem, we already can’t wait to come back :)

It's the perfect place to go off grid for a while. The beaches are beautiful, and there are plenty of places to explore, swim, surf, or just hang around.

Caliosa is a wonderful place to stay. Super clean, it has all the commodities and is surrounded by a piece of heaven on earth. As other guests have commented previously, this little house is not for everybody as climbing up to bed could be challenging for some, just take this into account before booking! Jenn is a really gracious and welcoming hostess, her good vibe is contagious! If you have any questions, she has all the answers! This place is truly a gem, we’ll be back for sure!
