Stay with Carolina

This place was excellent! Carolina was a great host! Always attentive to any issues!

Warm and impeccably clean home. I quickly felt at home. A 30-minute walk to the beach, a 5-minute walk to the grocery store. Functional air conditioning and fans. Comfortable bed. No hot water in the shower, but it was so hot that I enjoyed taking cold showers. Caroline and her mother are very welcoming and always ready to answer my questions or requests. I felt safe.

We have been to Playas del Coco many times. Each time we have stayed in different accommodations. None of these had the owners on the property. Caroline and her mother were very helpful, courteous and kind. We felt very welcome in their peaceful oasis.

A great place to stay, was super close to the dive shop I was going to, close enough to walk to restaurants and the beach but not busy like the beach area is! Beautiful little garden outside that was nice to sit on balcony in the evenings

Carolina and her mom were so kind to me. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and accomodated. The space was comfortable and as described. I underestimated the 30 minutes walk to the beach in the 35C heat, so without a car it's a bit challenging of a location.

I had a great one month stay at Carolina's place. It was just as described. Lots of windows, a great hammock, and living high up by the tree tops all made it very special. If I had requests or needed directions or help of any kind, Carolina was always responsive. Groceries are only a 5 minute walk away, and you can either walk to the beach (25 -30 minutes), or take a local bus. The wifi worked great as I was doing a lot of work online. I had all the privacy or connection I needed. Very safe neighborhood too! Whether you stay for a few nights or a month, it might just be the perfect place to explore Playas del Coco and neighboring Playa Hermosa.

They were next level nice. The room was better than I expected. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. I loved it. The air conditioning in the unit made it even more comfortable I didn’t need it every day but I was grateful to have it.

We loved staying with Carolina! She was always amazing and responsive. We stayed for an entire month and she brought us fresh linens and towels as much as we wanted. The booking is amazing but true to description, there is stairs, no hot water, no windows, no ac. We found living like a local was do able. Cold showers are our favorite when it’s 90 out anyway. The only thing was it was about a mile and a half from down town which felt like a long ways when walking.

Carolina's place was not that far from the town. It was walkable. The supermarket was very close. The studio has a nice view to the country side. Carolina was very helpful and made you feel like you were at home.

I had a lovely stay, comfortable bed and felt very secure and private. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay with a local family :-) thanks again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Carolina's Airbnb, and I can't express enough how fantastic my experience was. The location is perfect – just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Coco beach. The convenience of being able to stroll down to the beach within a 20-minute walk was priceless. Carolina, went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The space was clean, and exactly what I was looking for. Nice, quiet and peaceful. One of the highlights was the private patio with the hammock - a perfect spot to enjoy reading and taking naps. I loved spending time out there at night. Carolina provided me with a list of local recommendations, she was extremely helpful. This added a personal touch to my stay, and I felt like we were discovering the best of Playa Del Coco with a local guide. The communication with Carolina was seamless, and she was quick to respond to any inquiries we had. Her genuine hospitality made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Amazing experience!

Carolina’s place was clean and well furnished. I loved the porch with a view of greenery and parakeets and other birds! The studio flat is part of the house with a separate entrance. It is open air (no window panes) with fans. It was very pleasant at night, in the day the temperature seemed to vary depending on the weather, some days were hotter than others. The walk to the beach felt a bit long in the heat of the day. Carolina did offer a bicycle rental. She and her mom are friendly and professional hosts!

Staying at Carolinas place was a wonderful experience. It’s a great choice for anyone but for solo female travellers, first-time travellers, or remote workers I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Some of my favourite things about this Airbnb: 1. I felt incredibly safe at Carolina’s house and in the neighbourhood. 2. The internet is excellent, incredibly fast and very stable. 3. Carolina went above and beyond with her recommendations and assistance. She offered great sight seeing suggestions and patiently explained bus routes. 4. The kitchen is simple but it had everything I needed to cook for myself. The hot plate, microwave, and a fridge/ freezer helped me make a lot of delicious meals. 5. The view of the hills from the deck.

Carolina was such a great host. Great communication skills, quick to respond. The studio was very cute and comfortable person or a couple. It is conveniently centrally located and easy to get everywhere. Grocery store is a five minute walk. The beach is only a 30 minute walk or a five minute drive. The small front balcony is so nice for a relaxation, so peaceful, even through the rain storms.I was able to sit out there on the hammock or chair provided and get some reading or homework done with the sound of rain and thunder surrounding me. Thanks for your hospitality Carolina.

I had a great stay , the location was great for shopping and getting around Playas Del Coco.

The place transmits peace, the balcony makes it super cool, in addition to the nature that surrounds it, the room is very tidy, clean, and the host very committed to guests, was always waiting for our arrival. Overall 100/100. Super recommended.

Carolina and Vicki are wonderful hosts. They are great ambassadors for Costa Rica and are exceptionally gracious and helpful. I had a great time here in large part due to the little extras that Carolina and Vicki provided as hosts. The apartment was comfortable and as spacious as I needed. I found stores and restaurants conveniently located near by. My stay at Del Coco Beach was a memory I’ll always treasure.

Great place to stay! Carolina helped us a lot by sending us the location, asking us regularly if we needed anything and the last day helped us super well help us get to our next destination! The accommodation was perfect we were quiet in a small fully equipped studio with small terrace with hammock! 😁 It takes 20 min walk to the city/beach but there is a supermarket right next to the accommodation 👍

Caroline and Vicki couldn't have been better hosts. They provided me with everything I needed for a true Pura Vida experience. They respect your privacy and are prompt to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. Their place is in a very nice, safe and quiet residential neighborhood about a mile outside of town. there are a lot of pluses staying here, there is a new Maxi pali located close so filling up the groceries etc is a breeze.

Very friendly and attentive, we stayed well connected all the time, the place is comfortable and well equipped, quiet, it is a little hot but the fans help a lot, good parking and safe, even for a large vehicle, clean and close to the Coco, you can even walk there

We felt right at home in this cozy room. This place is quite conducive to a relaxing, unplugged time off. My partner and I felt safe, we appreciated the privacy, and the friendliness of the hosts.

Carolina was always quick to respond. The place looks exactly as indicated on the photos. Her place is 20 minutes from the Liberia airport and a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to Coco beach. Carolina helped arrange transportation to and from the airport. We had access to laundry, on-site, she provided suggestions for activities and answered all of our questions. Her place is a true Costa Rican experience. You hear the sounds of wildlife and nature throughout your stay. Ultimate host. A truly fabulous experience.

Very nice stay at Carolina's and her family's. We did not have a car but was very easy to walk to the Supermercado (10 min.) and the beach (20 min.). A special mention for the terrace and the comfort of the bed. We did beautiful hikes on the roads of the neighborhood and surrounding area with stunning views of the Bay of Coco.

I really enjoyed the time here, at this cozy, relaxing space. Carolina and here whole family are very welcoming and always there if you need something. Staying a little bit away from the major tourism spots helped me calm down and really soak in the nature here. Muchas gracias Carolina

Nice medium size room with full equipped kitchen. It also has a secured parking lot for your car. Carolina is a very friendly host. Totally recommend this place!

This Airbnb was perfect for our needs! It's super cute and has everything you'd need. It's about a mile from the beach, and close to a grocery store and restaurants. There is no hot water or air conditioning, but that did not negatively impact our stay at all! We stayed here for 8 nights and never had a problem. Highly recommend!

The apartment is very nice, surrounded by nature and with a very nice balcony. It has a lot of privacy, with its separate entrance. The family is very quiet, they respect the privacy of the guests and are always available for any need or query, Carolina and Doña Vicky were very attentive. The internet works great for working remotely; the neighborhood is quiet and secure. Very nice place, I would definitely come back.

Very nice studio, comfortable and functional. In a residential area near downtown. Walking to the beach is about 30 minutes, and you can rent bicycles at reasonable prices, which makes it very convenient to go to different places around. Vicky, Carolina's mother, helped me a lot with information about the area and transportation.

extremely friendly and accommodating

I enjoyed staying at this location. There is a Megasuper you can walk to in about 10-15 minutes. The beach can be walked to in about 25-30 minutes. Its close enough so you can go to the town easily if you want to and also far enough away so that if you want to explore the surrounding area you can do so and not feel trapped in the beach part of the town. Carolina was very responsive and proactive before my stay and was ready to answer any questions I had during my stay. This was my first trip to Costa Rica and I really appreciate how easy it was to communicate with her.

We really liked the apartment, quiet location and in an authentic neighborhood. The property offers a well equipped kitchen and 2 ceiling fans, and we were also allowed to use the washing machine free of charge. Carolina and her mother Vicky are very friendly and helpful, we highly recommend Del Coco Beach.

This very cozy apartment is a gem. We particularly enjoyed the "homeliness." A great large bathroom with lots of shelf, 2 fans in the living/bedroom/kitchen area. For two people, the apartment offers everything you need. The outdoor area was also very, very cozy with a cool hammock. From the beach you can walk through the place in about 20 minutes to the apartment. In the early morning you will be accompanied by the roar of the monkeys. We have also often walked up a bit in the area and, in addition to monkeys, have seen many parrots and a large iguan. The house is well secured and I was therefore able to leave my MacBook etc. in the apartment without hesitation. WiFi also works great. Carolina and her mother are very nice hosts. Carolina speaks excellent English and when I wrote her a WhatsApp, she answered promptly and answered all our questions quickly. She made the icing on the cake for our stay in Playas del Coco. We will be happy to come back!

Carolina has a nice flat where you are a little more away from the city and can enjoy the peace and quiet. She and her family are very friendly people who give you all the information you need. Her English is also very good.

We felt incredibly comfortable. Such a nice and cozily furnished apartment in a quiet location and yet close to Playa del Coco. By car, 5 minutes. The whole property was very well maintained and clean. The apartment was absolutely clean and everything was fresh. It was decorated with love and thought. We could have stayed there forever, Carolina and her family were very nice and made you feel welcome. Would come back again and again. Thank you 🤗

Staying here was an absolutely amazing experience. Playas del Coco is a very sweet, cozy, little beach town and staying just outside of it was a dream! We were easily able to walk into town for anything: restaurants, grocery stores, etc; and then just past the town is the beautiful beach! This is an excellent location for touring around Guanacaste, as well. We were able to see Tenorio Park, Rincón de la Vieja, and Palo Verde Park during our stay. We also beach hopped to Playa Hermosa and Playa Azul. Carolina was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and I can’t recommend this apartment more highly!

Carolina is a very caring host and helps with any questions and problems. Their little studio is stocked with all that you might need and very clean. The bed was super comfy. We had the perfect start to our Costa Rica vacation there!

Carolina is a super nice host! The apartment was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped if you want to do your own cooking. We had 2x2 large towels in the bathroom, which was also very clean. For one or the other, it may be important to know that the apartment has no windows. But a safety gate and double fly screens really very few insects came in. There are 2 fans, these work very well. I highly recommend the apartment and would go there again myself. :)

Carolina and her family were extremely kind and helpful to us. The area is safe and is about a 20 min walk to town/beach. After renting a golf cart it was much better to get around. The studio is extremely clean, and nice to stay in. It had everything we needed. No A/C but strong fans. We were pleasantly surprised for Carolina to offer us to use the laundry and give us suggestions. Would recommend staying here, thank you Carolina!

The little guest house at Carolina’s is adorable and super comfy (the kitchen was better stocked than my own!!). It’s a bit of a walk to the beach, but doable + lots of grocery stores and spots to stop for a drink along the way. Loved this spot!

We really liked the stay, it is comfortable, fresh, it has good fans and windows, as well as trees that give fresh. It has everything you need. Parking for birth is fine, it is safe (everything is fenced). It has internet only that sometimes it fails. Quite close to downtown Coco, beaches such as Penca, Calzon de Pobre, Panama, Buena. Carolina was very friendly, as was her family. They allowed us to store the bikes in the laundry room. The apartment is independent and has a lot of privacy. Totally recommended.

Excellent place to visit nice places in the area. It has everything, the bed is very comfortable and the place very quiet, Carolina was very attentive and recommended some very good places to visit.

Cozy apartment with small terrace (with hammock) and very well equipped kitchen. Carolina and her brother Carlos speak perfect English and they were super nice. We were even able to use the washing machine. Wifi is fast (20Mbit). The apartment is located in a neighborhood a bit outside of Coco and therefore it is pleasantly quiet. A ceiling fan is available, but during the day it gets very hot in the apartment. During the night it may cool down. Price/performance is top, will come back anytime:)

The cabin is cozy with the necessary amenities to have a pleasant stay and located in a quiet area of the coconut, close to everything you need on said beach and with the possibility of visiting many other beautiful places (for those who occupy the beaches of tamarindo, large and others, there is a route that you travel for half an hour on a good way from the coconut to Playa Palero. Anyway, you can take a nice vacation from this cabin!

Carolina is the best host we could’ve asked! She was paying attention to little details and extremely thoughtful. Her and her family made us feel home. We will definitely go back to Playa del Coco and stay there again! I’m really grateful
