There were 9 of us traveling, my family members, including older adults, and we were all very comfortable. We really enjoyed the nature and tranquility of the house. Shelly and Carlos' service was always wonderful. 🫶

Shelly and Carlos were incredible hosts to our group of ten. They made sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived and gave us great local recommendations for Puerto Viejo. What stood out most was their responsiveness. When a storm knocked out power for seven hours, they immediately brought us flashlights to keep us safe and comfortable, especially with our little ones around. The property was spacious and perfect for our group, and we loved the treehouse. It was a real highlight of the stay. Hosting ten people is no small task, but Shelly and Carlos handled it with warmth and genuine care the entire time. We’re so grateful and would absolutely stay with them again. Best hosts EVER and made our trip to Puerto Viejo more than amazing, hands down!

Where do I start? Casa Nairi was awesome! From the pool to the tree house, my family of 8 enjoyed five amazing days. Everyone was comfortable, and we saw so many animals during our stay. The beach, restaurants, and the Jaguar Rescue Center were all within walking distance, which made everything so convenient. Shelly Ann was an amazing host and helped us with everything we needed. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and I highly recommend staying here!
We had a wonderful stay at Shelly's property. The en-suite amenities were a great addition, and the treehouse and pool made the experience feel like a true retreat. Our family took full advantage of everything the home had to offer and made some wonderful memories. Shelly is a helpful and responsive host, I highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Convenient location to enjoy the nearby beaches. Short walk to nice restaurants. Shelly Ann was a great host, super responsive.
Future guests should be aware before booking. The listing advertises A/C, but it is limited to the bedrooms only. The kitchen, living room, dining areas, and bathrooms have no air conditioning, which is not clearly disclosed. The home appears to be constructed without insulation, causing the main living areas to retain significant heat and making them uncomfortable to use. The home was clean and visually nice, but it was not practical for our family of eight and was not comfortable temperature-wise. The kitchen is very small, and the living room seating is limited to a small loveseat, which seats 2 We left within two hours of check-in due to the indoor conditions. We also observed visible mold in the bedroom A/C units, which may be a concern for some guests. This review reflects our direct experience and discrepancies between the listing and actual conditions.

We are extremely professional and committed to guest comfort, satisfaction and to the quality of our homes. This review is unfortunate and clearly written from a place of bad intention and retaliation after we and Air b&b upheld our cancelation policy. We set our AC units to cool 1 hour prior to guest arrival. This guest arrived 2 hours early. When contacted about the tempature, we arrived within 10 minutes to assist. As described, all 4 bedrooms have AC. The units are regularly serviced for optimal efficiency and guest comfort/safety. The house is crafted from Costa Rican Hardwoods, common in this environment. Western standards such as Central AC are not common in the jungle on the Caribbean. Our seating is all hand crafted- indoor seating next to the dining table, as well as on the covered front porch, the upstairs balcony, in the tree house and in the rancho near the pool. Please read all of our excellent reviews for a clear picture of the service and space that we provide.
I’ve stayed a many AirBnb’s over the last few years and this one tops my list. Easy walk to beach great restaurants nearby. The AC in the bedrooms is very nice. Shelly is beyond responsive and always happy to help. I really could go on but I might start to sound like a commercial!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Shelly’s place. The location couldn’t have been better—close to the beach and fantastic restaurants. The home was perfect for our group of seven, and seeing monkeys in the trees was such a unique and memorable experience. Don't miss the Jaguar Rescue Center located within walking distance. The kids especially loved the pool. It’s a truly amazing home, and we’re so grateful we had the opportunity to stay there.
Our family of 5 traveled from Minnesota, USA to Costa Rica for spring break. We had the BEST time and were sad to leave! The Airbnb was clean and spacious. Shelly gave us many great recommendations for restaurants and activities nearby. She’s an excellent resource and very responsive. The location was incredible. We could walk to many different dining spots and beaches as well as the jaguar rescue. The pool sure got used as well! We all agree this was the best trip any of us has ever been on!
Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed Casa Nairi! It was a beautiful spot and we absolutely loved the little pool and the treehouse! There are many wonderful restaurants and the beach is very close. Jaguar rescue is next door too! Shelly was an incredible host…so responsive and helpful! We would stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay at this home. The property is beautiful, and well equipped. We especially loved the tree house and the pool both were such fun and unique features and really made the experience memorable. One thing to note for future guests is that there are two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs, and the stairs connecting the levels are outside the home rather than inside. It wasn’t a big issue for us, but we didn’t realize this before arriving, so it may be helpful to know when planning your stay. Also, there is no dishwasher, and toilet paper cannot be flushed in the toilets. The host did include these instructions ahead of time, but we had overlooked them in the listing, so it’s just something future guests may want to be aware of. The host was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience! There are also two friendly cats on property who we loved!
