2BR Villa in Uvita

Robert

Good, 5 months ago

We spent 10 days at Casa Nectar. The house matches the listing: spacious, two large air-conditioned bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. Please note that there is no range hood, which can cause smoke when cooking. Jessica is discreet and very responsive. However, the house and the pool show signs of wear and would benefit from a refresh. The property is surrounded by greenery, and the setting is extremely quiet. During our stay, the view was almost completely blocked by trees, and we couldn’t see the ocean, contrary to what the photos suggest. Therefore, the experience is more like an immersion in the heart of the jungle. A 4x4 is essential due to the slope and the rough condition of the road. Nevertheless, we had a great time and would recommend this place to those who love peace and quiet and nature.

Enjoyed our stay at Villa Nectar. We saw a lot of different animals, howler monkeys, capuchins, several birds, we had basilisk lizards, a couple, who came to bathe every day in the pool. We named them Rogelio & Rogelia! The road to get to the house requires a 4x4 but the location is ideal because it is very close to Uvita and there are several excellent restaurants within a 15-minute drive. We had some problems with the house's equipment but Jessica was very responsive and always took care to try to resolve the problems quickly. The house is as indicated in the ad, both bedrooms are spacious, the bathrooms are comfortable. However, there are several amenities that would need to be renewed. The kitchen is quite well equipped but everything is a bit worn and it lacks a bit of maintenance in general.

We spend a week at this amazing house. Our kids and us had the most fabulous time. The host is incredibly communicative and super friendly. Everything was instantly taken care of. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and I love how the living space has just the right amount of furniture. It took a few days, but we did eventually get a big group of howler monkeys visiting us. We saw toucans, parrots, and lots of hummingbirds, and morpho butterflies. It's increadibly private, amazing view, and we even enjoyed the steep road up and down. We would definitely stay there any time again.

Beautiful home in the hills above Uvita. Our weeks stay was February, mostly dry with a few nights of rain. The road to the home is dirt but overall pretty good, one grade is quite steep at the end. From main hwy, drive is about 7 minutes to the home. The private pool was enjoyable. Note the 2nd bedroom/bath are accessed off the patio NOT through the main home. Bedrooms have AC. Kitchen had what we needed for cooking. Jessica, the owner is very friendly and responsive with the couple requests we had. Wifi is good and washer/dryer were super to have since we had a 2nd week in CR. Very enjoyable stay convenient to Uvita and the towns and sights of the area.

Jessica and the house were great. She greeted us after a late check in and was very flexible with us. The house had gorgeous views and the pool was beautiful. We spent most of our days out of the house but hanging out at night by the pool and the living room were comfortable and great. The house was very clean and came with all the towels and things we needed. The washer and dryer were a great addition. Waking up to the sounds of nature was so peaceful and relaxing. Jessica let us know when the animals were close so we could see them and take pics. One time power went out but Jessica was quick to let us know and quick to let us know when it came back on. Her communication was awesome. The drive to the house is a good 7 minute off road 4x4 situation but Jessica helped us figure it out our first night. We would definitely recommend this house and hopefully can come back to visit Jessica and her family and see the Uvita area again. Pura Vida!!!

We stayed with our 5 year and 8 month old sons for one week. The house with its beautiful pool are right in the woods on the mountain above Uvita. You definitely need a 4x4 car to get there. The house is a very private place with amazing animals right in the trees by the pool. We saw many tucans, iguanas, monkeys and even aras! The house has all you need: great kitchen with a big fridge, washing machine / drier, plenty of space and cozy furniture. Jessica was a very friendly and responsive host. We would definitely go there again.

We had an excellent stay at Casa Nectar. The house is well located to explore Costa Rica’s southern pacific coast. A ton of great beaches and beautiful waterfalls are nearby. Close to the Uvita restaurants and stores too. You are definitely going to want a 4x4 to get to the house and explore the surrounding areas. My family, especially my 9 and 7 year old boys enjoyed the pool. We saw a bunch of wildlife (Toucans, Iguanas, Pythons, Parrots and Macaws) right from the pool deck. The local Howler Monkeys start calling at 5:00 am. There are a few warts. The front door swells in the humidity and barely opens. When it does it screeches. No AC in the kitchen was tough when we wanted to cook and eat in. It was super hot during our stay. (I know lame complaint, It’s Costa Rica!) That said we loved staying here and would again. Jessica was responsive and welcoming. We had a great stay.
