El peor servicio, nos ofrecieron dos habitaciones para 6 personas, para luego decir que solo una habitación y dos personas se quedaron sin lugar donde dormir porque nos ofrecieron colchón inflable. Nosotros pagamos CAMAS como aparece en el anuncio. Cambiaron toda la reservación un día antes de llegar a monteverde en plena semana santa donde ya todo está alquilado además se negaron a hacer el reembolso de las dos personas que dejaron sin lugar. La refrigeradora no enfriaba correctamente. NO vale la pena. La anfitriona NO conoce lo que es SERVICIO AL CLIENTE. Cuando le mencionamos reembolso porque nos estaba ofreciendo un colchón inflable se puso muy a la defensiva y seguía diciendo “no es mi culpa”. En vez de buscar un punto medio. NO VALE LA PENA. NOT WORTH THE PRICE!! She texted us offering two rooms for 6 people. One day BEFORE the arrival date she texted saying “another platform booked the room” so we had 1 small room for 6 people and missing 2 beds. She offered air mattresses which is completely unacceptable. We paid for beds. She did not even agree to refund two people since they did not sleep there due to the inconvenience. SHE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. She kept saying “it’s not my fault” did not try to get to a mid point with us. Got very defensive when we asked for refund. Fridge did not work. Horrible experience do not recommend

Roxana usted reservo solamente una habitación no dos, ahora yo de buena gente., le hubiera dado las 2 pero la reserva No era ni para usted, usted el día antes de la llegada cambió la información, y sorpresa venías en la reserva y ahora hablas de atención al cliente cuando ni educación tuviste cuando empezaste a hacer berrinche, la refri si sirve y está nueva, una más de tus mentiras, para bebersen las cervezas de los clientes de la par mismos que se quejaron de su mal comportamiento, Definitivamente "Clientes" de los que NUNCA desearías tener, No se los recomiendo a Nadie para que no tengan problemas en un futuro....

I read the review that said this pension was a great value and we decided to give it a try. We agree 100%! It was perfectly clean and exactly as represented in the listing. The breakfast was delicious, homemade by the family, and we loved getting to chat with them a little bit while we ate. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the main area in Santa Elena, so keep that in mind if you don't have a car. (We had no trouble walking or taking a cab, which they will arrange for you.) The best part is the very kind service - Francisco arranged tours for us and made sure we were in the right place on time. When our shuttle fell through (which I had arranged separately) he made some calls and fixed the whole problem for us - it was quite a hassle and he was super nice about it. We really appreciated all of the family's kindness and attention and would choose Pension Colibri again!

This is the most wonderful place! Dayana and Her husband are the most amazing hosts! They have built and decorated their place with love and they are such warm, friendly and caring people. They make a great breakfast each morning - and the homemade marmelade is amazing! We felt like instant friends and totally looked after! A real home-away-from-home! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful 4 nights!!!

We had a lovely time at Dayana's place. We just came from a canopy tour and were excited to get some rest. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic!

Fantastic stay, Victor and Machita are amazing hosts. You will live in a typical Costa Rican house, with a great homemade breakfast. Very clean and well maintained. Well located, at the entrance to Santa Elena.

As a family of six Victor & Macha’s place was perfect. The little ones played in the hammock and the older ones were online. The breakfast is nutritious and served with care. The hostel is solidly built by Victor and beautifully decorated by Macha. They are so welcoming and warm hearted. We loved our stay here and would love to star here again.

Dayana and her parents were excellent. They gave us breakfast at the time we ordered and it was very delicious. They gave us great guidance to be able to do the canopies and more. Thank you so much for everything!

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was homemade and delicious. We stayed there one night with our 3 children and everything went fine. Top quality at a very cheap price, perhaps the best value for the price in the area of Monteverde at least for a family of 5. We loved this place and we strongly recommend it!

A beautiful, rustic hideaway just off the main road heading into town. The butterfly and hummingbird garden provide great photo opportunities or a restful place in the abundant hammocks hanging in front. Breakfast was full "Tico" style with eggs, fruit, toast, home-made marmalade and Costa Rican coffee. Any tours can be booked through the owner or simply get self guided tips on where and when to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the family during our stay.
