Maud is a wonderful and thoughtful host. From the moment we booked, she was warm, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. Her home is peaceful and welcoming, with a wonderful sense of tranquility throughout. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with a wider array of cooking essentials than we typically find in vacation rentals. One of our favorite features was the beautiful private pool. We’ve stayed at homes where the pools were too cold to enjoy, but Maud’s was the perfect temperature—a lovely place to relax and unwind. The nearby beach is striking, with soft volcanic black sand and powerful waves creating a beautifully dramatic setting. Maud thoughtfully shared important beach safety information about the strong rip tides and crocodiles farther down the beach, which we truly appreciated. One evening, we returned to the sweetest happy birthday note waiting for us—a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. We would happily return! 💜

We loved staying here. The place exceeded our expectations: very clean, excellently equipped and with a super quiet atmosphere. Everything was organized down to the last detail to ensure a perfect stay, and communication with the host was unbeatable. A five-star experience that we hope to repeat soon!

Maud's house in Playa Hermosa, Garabito, is a really beautiful place. It is located a few meters from the sea, in a privileged setting next to the Playa Hermosa-Punta Mala National Wildlife Refuge. The property is fully equipped and offers all the comforts for a comfortable stay. In our case, eight of us from the family traveled, and we all had a very pleasant experience. The pool was a great added value, especially for sharing with the family and for the kids to have fun. Maud was an excellent host: she was always attentive to our queries and quickly addressed any needs. In addition, the check-in instructions were very clear, so the check-in process was simple and hassle-free. It's definitely a place we'd recommend and would gladly go back to when we have the chance.

Great place to stay in Hermosa. Located in a small gated community right across the street from the beach. Easy access to great restaurants and not far from the main highway if you are traveling through. Rooms were comfortable and the backyard area was great. Maud was very nice and informative. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful house with all the comforts to enjoy a few days with the family. In a safe, private condominium close to the beach. We had everything we needed in the house. The host is very friendly, kind, and always attentive to our needs. We really enjoyed the pool. The best thing is that it's pet-friendly 10/10 100% recommended.

This is the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in, Maud had thought of everything you might want for your stay down to filtered water and beach chairs. She was super helpful without it feeling intrusive, communication was great and the place is beautiful.

Maud’s place was perfect for my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). It was a relief to spread out a bit after being cramped together in hotel rooms in San Jose and Manuel Antonio. The pool is amazing and seeing/hearing macaws in the trees behind her property was a special treat. The beach is a block away and Pizza Pata is quite possibly the best pizza in all of Costa Rica!! Maud also recommended we visit Rainmaker and the tide pools at Esterillos Oeste which were spot-on excursions for us.

This place is awesome. Few steps from the beach has a pool and plenty of room for the family. We had a wonderful time and the host is amazing. We were recommended amazing restaurants and felt right at home. We hope to visit again. Thank you!
