Tonya And Jeremy

This was our second stay at Sombre De La Luna, and it was simply fantastic! It's one of our top choices on Airbnb. The property offers a peaceful and private retreat amidst stunning natural surroundings. We particularly enjoyed mornings and evenings by the infinity pool, taking in the breathtaking views and spotting toucans and coatis every day. The owners were incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the entire experience effortless from beginning to end. We would absolutely return in the future!

An amazing place, the house is simply fabulous, the views are breathtaking! We were able to see a coati, many birds in the garden, a toucan and a pair of macaws. The house is as comfortable as can be. Tonya was very available and responsive to all our questions. We highly recommend this magical place and thank the owners. We hope to come back next time!

Amazing view with daily wildlife. The pool was so inviting especially after a long day of activities. It was the perfect temperature in the afternoons. We saw toucans almost daily, macaws monkeys and coati. The driveway does require AWD or 4WD but we had no trouble getting up the hill. Lorena, manager was very helpful in arranging local activities. There are several restaurants nearby and we enjoyed the big kitchen for cooking as well.

Just a dream! The place is exactly as described in the photos. A huge house with a fantastic pool and an incredibly beautiful view! We didn't want to leave there! Communication with the hosts was excellent. Always friendly and proactive! After initial difficulties finding the house, it was super easy after that. We should have read the description more carefully and driven further up! :-D There are also many animals to see on the property: we saw countless toucans, and a few coatis also came very close to visit! We will be happy to come back and highly recommend this place! :)

Trying to avoid being redundant with the other 5 stars(not enough ☆'s to accurately rate) but this home is incredible. We ascended and descended the trek up and down the hill safely and easily in a very basic compact AWD suv with detailed directions . They could/should raise their rates for the pristine details through out the compound. We thought we were doing pretty good in life until we pulled through the gate to Tonya and Jeremy's magnificient jungle palace. Gracious host with excellent communication, especially considering we switched accommodations and booked with them last minute for the last 4 nights of our CR adventure. Despite short notice they were able to get us checked in a little early and were so polite with us sensing our urgency to get in that pool to enjoy the evening sunset!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD PURE PARADISE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are even thinking about booking this home in the mountains of Uvita, Costa Rica… STOP thinking and just BOOK IT. You will NOT regret it! The views? Absolutely unreal. The property overlooks the stunning Pacific Ocean, and I promise you the pictures do it NO justice. It is even more breathtaking in person. Every sunrise and sunset felt like a private show just for us. I enjoyed every moment celebrating my anniversary and 44th birthday. The pool and jacuzzi were truly the highlight of my stay. Especially at night when it lights up. So beautiful. Tonya and Jeremy were phenomenal hosts. Very responsive but what truly sets this place apart is that they have an incredible, groundskeeper by the name of Lorena who recommended tours, GV Massage & Spa for a couples massage & a amazing private driver. Total Privacy. Amazing Views. Tropical Birds. Comfortable Beds. Fruit Trees on The Property. April 2027 I can't wait to return....

This place is incredible- we couldn’t praise it enough. Beautiful home and surroundings and the view….. the view was breathtaking. Like heaven on earth. The home was stunning and the pictures don’t do it justice. Simply exquisite. We are already planning our next trip to Costa Rica and will definitely be rebooking at Tonya and Jeremy’s place. Excellent hosts. Best vacation ever. Pura Vida!

We had a great time at Tonya and Jeremy's place. There were some travel hiccups getting there (outside anyone's control). Tonya and Jeremy were more than accommodating. They were super helpful and responsive and went out of their way to help us have an amazing time. The house is beautiful and peaceful. While there we went fishing, to the wildlife refuge and checked out some restaurants. Most time was spent lounging by/in the pool overlooking the ocean. I would recommend this airbnb to all of my friends and family!

One of the best Airbnbs we have stayed at in CR. Tons of amenities not advertised- if you need it, this house has it!

Best sunset in Uvita! We loved our stay - everything about the house was exactly as advertised. Tonya is easy to reach for any needs/questions that come up. Very clean home with all the amenities you could think of, including an under the counter ice maker! We stayed in the blue bedroom/bath suite - super comfortable bed and pillows, ample closet space, just perfect. (The house has a 2nd bed/bath suite almost exactly the same). The open air style of the home with tons of screened doors and windows is very neat - one night it rained and the breeze coming thru was so refreshing. The infinity pool is simply amazing, and the sunset views are stunning. We also saw and heard so many birds, including tucans, parakeets and parrots. We also heard (but didn't see) howler monkeys! We hope to be able to stay here again the next time we visit the area!

This is no ordinary AirBnB (and we have stayed in many). If you are looking for the ultimate in peace, relaxation, and immersion with nature, look no further than Tonya and Jeremy’s place. The views and sunsets from the pool area in the back are nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the toucans sing and fly from tree to tree, overlooking miles of Pacific ocean. The house itself has all the amenities you may expect at this level, and then some. Everything worked perfectly, allowing us to leave stress and worries behind. The e-guide provided by the hosts is contains all the essential information as well, and was a great reference. Thanks Tonya and Jeremy for a great stay, and we would love to return one day!

The home is high quality, exceptionally clean, beautifully furnished, and upscale attention to detail. The grounds and outdoor space provide a peaceful respite from the world. The scarlet macaws, toucans, aracaris and howler monkeys provided us with the sounds we have come to love in Costa Rica. The pool was warm and we spent many afternoons lounging in the pool. The mountain location provides the serenity needed on vacation, but is close enough to Uvita to get to everything quickly. Tonya and Jeremy were hands down the best hosts we’ve had with a rental. Attentive and responsive with genuine care about the quality of our stay. We have visited Costa Rica 9 times over the last 10 years and always stay in high end rental homes. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend to anyone! The home is BETTER in person than in the photos.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The view during the day and sunsets at night were beautiful. The house is in a quiet location and allows you to fully relax! We enjoyed watching the toucans, macaws and monkeys go from tree to tree! The house had everything we needed and loved how they provided the simple amenities such salt/pepper, coffee, fresh fruit, etc. We will be back in the future!
