We had a great experience during our stay. The villa has a spectacular view and was perfect for our large family. We were all very comfortable. The pool was one of the children's favorite places. They enjoyed it very much every day. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped, and ideal for preparing group meals, which made our time together even more special. We also want to highlight the kindness of Anita, who was always attentive and ready to help us. We definitely recommend this place for families or groups looking for comfort, tranquility and a beautiful setting. We hope to come back!

We had a perfect stay with our family of 11. The spacious house had plenty of room for everyone, was well-equipped with everything we needed, and offered great indoor and outdoor areas for relaxing together. The location was ideal — with great views and the responsive host and staff made everything smooth. Highly recommend for large families! Pura Vida! 🇨🇷

Thank you for a great stay! The house is beautiful and well put together. Ana was simply amazing and made sure everything was cleaned daily (including laundry). She really added the extra luxury to the vacation. We did a dinner night with Claudia and it was also amazing. Yes it is a drive to go anywhere because of the steep hills but it was worth it for the views.

This villa was home to perhaps the best trip I have ever taken. My group consisted of 15 friends, and the villa was plenty large enough for all of us. We greatly enjoyed using the kitchen to make our meals, and the long table outside was perfect for eating dinner. Overall, Lisa and the manager Mike, were fantastic to work with. They were quite helpful throughout the whole process. Carlos, Luis, and Ana (onsite staff) were all exceptional throughout the week as well. Luis was especially great at getting members of my group from point a to point b with the van. If I ever return to Coco, I will absolutely stay at Villa Santa Luz.

This is a very large, beautiful home with very welcoming and extremely helpful hosts and house staff, making it a great choice for our large family group. My only disappointment was the lack of sunshine in the pool area, due to its orientation, and the fact that the pool was not heated. Although that did not usually deter most of the children, very few of the adults used the pool the entire time we were there. Lesson learned for me, these are questions one should definitely ask beforehand.

Lisa and Gordon’s place was absolutely amazing! I was with a group of 11 and we all said it was the nicest Airbnb we have stayed in. It’s totally worth it for the VIEWS, space, and amenities. The caretakers were so sweet and helpful, and yes, what other reviews say about laundry as often as needed is true, which is such a luxury! Lisa was always super fast to respond in the app and was really kind and helpful. We had the chef make dinner for two nights and that was excellent too. We loved it there so much, we didn’t want to leave. Did I mention the VIEWS?!?! Stunning! We had a great stay! Some helpful information for future guests: We did not use the driver for the whole time and chose to rent cars, which worked well for us. However, the driveway is STEEP as is the road to get up to the house. It was fine for our SUVs, but don’t attempt it in a vehicle without decent clearance! Since it’s up in the hills, town isn’t really comfortably walkable, but the drive is short.

Everything was perfect. From the villa itself, to the staff, to the food, it was the best trip I could've asked for for my bachelorette! I brought 13 friends and Mike (villa coordinator) was incredibly helpful in coordinating everything with the drivers and private chef. Ana, Luis, Carlos and the other ladies were phenomenal! If you're questioning whether to book this place, I highly highly recommend it!!!

Villa Santa Luz was beautiful. The seven bedrooms with en-suite baths provided great flexibility and comfort for our group of seven adults and two children. Anna and Carlos were both very welcoming and helpful. So glad we arranged to have many meals prepared for us — 6 breakfasts, 3 dinners — dined outdoors on patio for each. All enjoyed taking a dip in the cool pool at the villa and also the clubhouse pool. Fantastic stay. Highly recommend.

Villa Santa Luz is a beautiful home with the most friendly staff! Communication was great with Lisa and Michael, the house manager. Ana, Carlos and Luis were instrumental to our amazing week. They were so helpful and wonderful. We had 16 people in our group (8 adults and 8 kids) and all had plenty of space. We enjoyed the house pool but loved the club pool too. We had the chef come twice, which was so nice to sit poolside with everyone! The only downfall is that the beautiful views on the cliff means steep hills! It really limited us to be able to walk to the clubhouse or in to town by ourselves. I didn’t realize this before hand. But we made it work - Luis and Carlos were very accommodating to get us down there :) We didn’t particularly love the town of Playa del Coco but we did love the house and staff. Thank you for a great week!

We had a wonderful family vacation here. The staff, Ana and Carlos, and the driver, Luis, were a pleasure. We used the recommended chef, Claudia, and our home prepared meals were delicious. Town is walkable (downhill), but plan to get a ride back. Thank you!

The villa is stunning. And the perfect location for a girls getaway to celebrate a milestone birthday. The photos do not do it justice. It is wonderful to be able to take a swim and watch the sun go down while you’re in the pool. Mike was able to arrange 7 massage therapists who showed up at the house! Anna and Carlos, the housekeepers were amazing. Really helpful and friendly and they were around when you needed them- but knew exactly when to disappear and let you have privacy. The chef Claudia was amazing. The food was enjoyable. She was able to tailor to a vegetarian guest and presentation was beautiful. We appreciated having a driver, Luis, who took us to all our excursions for our waterfall hike and catamaran trip as well as into Tamarindo. However the souvenir shop he recommended near Liberia- while large- was overpriced. Stick to the quaint shops in Playa del Coco. This was truly one of the best AirBNB stays I’ve had.

We can’t say enough about our week long stay at this beautiful home! It was even more beautiful than the pictures. It was immaculate! Every morning that we left the house for the beach or private club (amazing place and restaurant), Anna would pack a bag with all of our towels. Laundry would be done everyday. Kitchen well stocked and grocery store was very close. With 12 people we needed a lot of food. We hired Anna to cook 3 dinners and 1 breakfast and we were not disappointed! Because of the size of our group, we hired Luis to drive us places in their van. Best thing we did. Driving can be rather difficult. We were there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Have no hesitation in booking this home for your vacation. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing place and hosts. The staff Carols and Anna were the most wonder people. The house was awesome the kitchen was fully stocked with everything We are already planning a trip for next year to come back. I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you

What a WONDERFUL stay! Truly more than we could’ve imagined. Great house, amazing view, wonderful hosts, and most importantly the house staff was out of this world. We will absolutely be back.
