2BR Loft in Quepos

Joni

Excellent, 7 months ago

Amazing location and accommodation, if we would visit Manuel Antonio again, we will definitely book the Jungle Loft again. The open structure with multiple sliding doors makes the veranda an extension of the living room. The bedroom has screen doors so you can leave the sliding doos open en wake up with the sounds of the jungle.

Host Response

Always welcome at Jungle loft

Pauls place was great. For the price we paid and the size of the space it totally met our needs and felt luxuriously spacious. I read all of the other views so I knew exactly what to expect. The biggest drawback is the lack of AC in the basement room, but having the extra space is a big plus. There are plenty of bathrooms for everyone. We enjoyed watching iguanas, agoutis, macaws, hummingbirds, and both white faced and other monkeys. The AC upstairs can cool the whole house you just have to get it going about 30-45 minutes before it brings down the temps. The community is gated with a guard. Overall, I would come back again. It was really great of Jose to let us check in early as well. Thanks for great communication and accommodations.

Welcome back to Jungle Loft any time

The apartment is modern and surrounded by jungle, you can hear the birds and see many butterflies flying nearby. Location is convenient, close driving distance to Manuel Antonio’s beaches. Check out is at 11 am, which is early considering that normal check out time is 12:00 pm.

Host Response

Taking into account that normal check-in time is 2 pm, most places establish a check-out time at 11 am. When possible, check-out can be later. We always try to be as accommodating as possible. The day you left it wasn't possible. But the administrator gave you the possibility to keep the independent room longer.

AC only was in one bedroom and it was very hot. The sliding doors came off multiple times - causing a lock down and posing risk for some younger family members. There wasn't soap in the bathrooms and one of the bathrooms didn't even have a door. Communication with the property manager was very difficult and slow, especially during the lockout caused by the sliding doors which have a stick behind them. A lot of the house felt makeshift as pulling on a curtain to close it literally caused the entire thing to fall down. furthermore, the bottom room was unpleasant, feeling much more like an unfurnished basement than a real bedroom. The property was beautiful, located inside the jungle. But the inside left much to be desired

Host Response

I first invite Mr Rajasekar to read a listing before making a reservation. No door is missing in the bathroom. It is exactly how it looks on the pictures. The upper bathroom is open because it is part of the concept of the loft: open to nature. About the AC in the independent room, it is written in the listing description that it only has a ceiling fan. About the soap, I apologize. The maid probably forgot to put some. You should have asked or reported it immediately, as there is always a reserve of toilet paper, soap, and several other products in the same loft. About communication, I am sorry but you contacted me at 5:25 PM and the problem was solved at 5:37 PM according to our messages this day. About the problem itself, In 5 years, no visitor had managed to dismantle a single sliding door. In two days, you not only managed to dismantle 3 of them but you also managed to tear down a curtain. By the way you never answered my question of how this happened. I also want to highlight the state of dirt and disorder in which you left the loft. Worse still, although you had agreed with the administrator to check out at 11 a.m., you had left the keys with the caretaker and had already left the property when the administrator showed up at 10:45 a.m. It is for these reasons that I consider you as a very careless and irresponsible guest.

The place is simply stunning. You wake up in the morning and the first thing you see is the beautiful nature that surrounds the loft. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the gas BBQ outside works great. The location is great since it's about 10 minutes from Quepos and Manuel Antonio national park. From our experience, there is only one negative thing to mention and is that the small bedroom doesn't have air conditioning (it does have a fan) and the bed itself is not very comfortable (the main bedroom's bed is great) and if you travel with friends like we did, someone will sleep on a great air-conditioned comfy bedroom and someone will have to sleep on a bedroom with all you need but not as comfortable as the main bedroom. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

Beautiful and matches the pictures. Great privacy. The property description that says there is air conditioning is not accurate. While I'm accustomed to traveling in Latin America and understand that air conditioning is generally just in the bedrooms(and that's fine). NOTE The second bedroom is completely disconnected from the rest of the house on the first floor and has NO A/C. Paul in the property manager were communicative. Kitchen is well equipped.
