We had a wonderful stay at the house. The outdoor area is great - a lovely large pool, a peaceful spot amongst nature, with a fantastic view. It is a short walk to the beach, a supermarket, bars and restaurants. The house interior is a little dated but still perfectly clean and well equipped. But we particularly enjoyed spending time outside by the pool and watching the amazing pacific sunsets. Holy was very helpful and we really appreciated flexibility in our arrival time. We hope to return!

Great location and great view! We saw a family of howler monkeys right in our front yard, as well as iguanas, coatis, raccoons, and various birds. The sunsets are incredible

We had an amazing stay at Casa Dorada. Holly was a superhost — very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Casa Dorada is exactly as shown in the pictures: a beautiful private villa surrounded by nature, with a gorgeous balance of ocean views and lush greenery. The outdoor area is perfect for people looking to relax close to nature while still being only a few steps from the beach. We loved seeing the wildlife around the property, including iguanas, birds, frogs, and small geckos. The villa also has great outdoor amenities like an outdoor kitchen, pool, shower, and trampoline. There were two beach entrances nearby — we recommend the one on the left side, about a 7-minute walk away, where the sand is soft and the area is very safe. The inside has the cozy charm of a classic Costa Rican home, with plenty of space for family and friends. Just keep in mind that you are surrounded by nature in Costa Rica, so seeing a few insects from time to time is completely normal.

Casa Dorada is the perfect combination of tranquility, nature, and proximity to the beach. Every morning, the monkeys would come by to say hello, not to mention the incredible mango trees. It has a very large pool with a perfect view to enjoy the sunset!

Our stay at Casa Dorada was amazing. Everything is as pictured. Our favorite place to be all day and evening was the pool area which has a large outdoor kitchen with grill and fridge. Having a shower and bathroom out by the pool is very convenient as well. This house is surrounded by beautiful foliage and wild life. We saw our resident iguanas everyday ( Isabella the female that will pop up on the left side of the pool loves to eat flowers that fall off the tree ;) ). Many different colorful birds. We got to see a large group of howler monkeys travel through the trees right in the yard on two occasions. The house is a ways from the main area with all the restaurants but we didn't mind the exercise. We felt safe walking. Pengas is an amazing restaurant and is right across the street. Couple other places are within a few blocks. The house is quite a ways up a hill so if you have trouble with incline we highly recommend renting a car or golf cart. Can't wait to come back! If you’re looking at other places in Tamarindo, STOP! This house was exactly what we hoped for, and more. The view was amazing, we loved the pool in the mornings and the easy walk to the beach in the afternoons. Great restaurants within minutes. Holly was proactive and helpful! We will definitely return!! One of our favorite trips ever!

Amazing stay right in Tamarindo! The house is spacious, and had everything we needed including great air conditioning. The pool is nicer than most resort pools, and the view is stellar. 5 min walk to the beach and an easy walk into town. Would absolutely stay again!

The outdoor space, view, and pool were amazing! The inside of the house was very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is amazing! The house is not new, but well maintained!! Beds are confortable, kitchen is well equiped, the outdoor, the pool and the view are juste magnificient. Holly answers really fast and makes us feel at home!

The location was unbeatable — just a short walk to Tamarindo Beach, which quickly became our favorite spot with the kids. The ocean view from the house and the large pool were highlights, especially during our toddler’s nap times when we could still relax and enjoy the scenery. We traveled with our in-laws and two young kids, and the house was the perfect fit. The two main bedrooms each had ensuite bathrooms, and the back room with the bunk bed was a huge hit with our 4-year-old. Holly and her team were incredibly communicative and accommodating, helping us make the most of our first trip to Costa Rica. After days of exploring, coming back to unwind by the pool in our own private space was the best part of each day. One small note — the home sits at the top of a hill (which is why the view is so spectacular), and the short walk to the beach includes some traffic and limited sidewalks. That said, we’d absolutely stay here again — it was an amazing vacation!
