12BR Villa in Tulum

Drew

Excellent, 7 months ago

Luisa was a great host, and the spot was amazing. We had a group of 17 and she got us in contact with a concierge service that made the whole trip a breeze. The spot is great, walking distance to a bunch of cool spots

We stayed here with a group of 14 and it worked really well for a large group. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, which made the stay very comfortable and easy for such a big group. There were also extra bathrooms, which was a huge plus. The property had multiple pools, and while we wish we had taken more advantage of them, it was still really nice to have that option. Breakfast every morning was such a thoughtful touch and we truly appreciated the host going the extra mile to provide that. Communication with the host was great throughout the stay. The location was also a big highlight. It was walking distance to several places to eat and even some nightlife, which made getting around very easy. Overall, it’s a great area and the host was understanding and accommodating to work with.

We came for my 40th birthday with a group of 14. Space was plenty for everyone and we had bedrooms unused. Having breakfast prepared each morning was perfect for our group. Staff were very friendly and recommend for anyone looking for a place with large groups. You will need transportation to visit the beach or to walk to the main strip is a little far but Juan with the concierge services was helpful on setting up rides and recommendations for restaurants and activities.

Our group of 10 recently stayed at White Elephant Casa Boutique in Tulum. The 3-story private home was perfect for our group. There were a few issues, related to infrastructure. You can't flush toilet paper and must use a basket by the toilet, which wasn't emptied during our 5-day stay. The shower water was cold, but with Tulum's warm weather, you get used to it. Some A/C units dripped, getting sheets wet. We didn't flag Luisa about these issues, understanding that they can occur in developing cities. The location was walking distance to Calle 7 Sur, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and places to explore. The daily house-made breakfast prepared by the chefs was a highlight, and the add-ons with transportation and excursions made the trip unforgettable. Overall, it was a positive experience and we would 100% book again!

The White Elephant was a beautiful property. We had a couple of small issues but everything was resolved quickly by the host. One thing I would like to mention is that if you sleep on the third floor of the villa, expect to be woken up early from birds pecking at bugs in the screens of the windows. The breakfast was great and the chefs were awesome. I brought my one year old daughter with me and if she woke up later than my other guests, the chef would be sure to make her a hot breakfast separately. The door leading to outside on the third floor needs to be adjusted. The door swung closed one night and my guests staying on this floor were locked up there and had to yell to some passerby’s to knock on the front door to have one of the chefs help them. Overall a really nice stay. Thank you!
