4BR Villa in Manuel Antonio

Excellent, 1 month ago

Amazing views! We were surrounded by wildlife. We had a sloth hanging out by the pool for two days. A toucan also visited us on a pool day. All three species of monkeys also came by. Chef Marcus cooked us a fabulous dinner. The maid was gracious enough to do our laundry. We also booked a few tours through Frank. They were great, and even picked us up from the top of the driveway. Great places to eat close by as well. We felt very well taken care of while visiting. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Casa Mono Congo was a dream! I’d give it a 1000/10! The house was big and beautiful! Every bedroom was comfortable and had a nice view! The pool was amazing and we enjoyed the incredible view of the ocean. We had monkeys visit and a sloth that hung around the entire time. Frank was super responsive, the maid was amazing and allowed us to enjoy our trip and the private chef was outstanding! Couldn’t have stayed at a better place! I recommend Casa Mono Congo!!

We loved this place!! Casa Mono Congo exceeded all expectations. The view is amazing and we were entertained each day with the resident sloth and all kinds of monkeys. The bedrooms all have en-suites which was great for our party of 7. Frank, the concierge, was wonderful and had the fastest response time! We had daily maid service from Mayela and she left fresh towels and did our laundry for us- such a treat for an AirBnB. Frank arranged a catamaran tour for us and also a private chef one night- delicious! We had 2 cars we were able to park. The house seems very private but within a 5-15 minute walk you have a large assortment of restaurants and shops. The house is at the bottom of a very steep hill and any tour or uber will meet you at the top. Highly, highly recommend!!

Casa Mono Congo was perfect for our family of 5 adults. The views were unbeatable and the mama sloth that lives in the tree next to the house is magnificent. Monkeys visited a couple times too! A couple things to note: first, the house is at the bottom of a very steep driveway and most transportation will ask you to meet them at the top of the hill. Second, only the bedrooms in the home are air conditioned. This made it so we had to separate from the group if we wanted a break from the heat. The concierge, Frank, was excellent and managed all logistics for us. It was fantastic. And the daily maid, Mayela, was amazing. She kept the house nice and took care of laundry. We came home with a suitcase full of clean clothes! Overall, the place is great and if we ever find ourselves back in CR we’d stay again.

Mono Congo was amazing! The layout provided our multigenerational family (ages 10-73) each with their own space. Huge windows allowed us to watch monkeys in the treetops, when they weren’t on the patio! Best entertainment ever! We were visited by three different types of monkeys, parrots, a resident sloth, several lizards and an iguana! Can’t say enough about Marie, our concierge! She answered my many questions before we arrived, scheduled our activities and handled changes we made to our schedule. Daily housekeeping and pool maintenance ensured the house and grounds stayed immaculate! Make sure you have Marie schedule a meal prepared by Gabriel. He created a meal so delicious we are still talking about it! A special treat not to be missed! In addition, we found the house to be very safe and secure. The driveway was a bit steep, but very doable. (You do need 4 wheel drive for beach roads.) We had two cars. Plenty of space for both. This home is a perfect for making memories!

You don't need to go to Manuel Antonio Park, you have better views of everything here. 3 different types of monkeys (sometimes in the same day), a sloth off the back patio, Toucans, Macaws, hummingbirds, Aracari, woodpeckers, Motmots and more (30 different species of birds). We were here in January and the house was incredibly comfortable. We appreciated the housekeeping services and the fresh towels along with the ability to wash clothes. The property is within walking distance of a number of restaurants in the area. We did breakfast and lunches at the house and dinners out. We do recommend getting groceries in Quepos - but we didn't have a car and they arranged for us to get items delivered. All in all, we already miss it and would absolutely stay here again in the future. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! The view is a 10 out of 10! Jody is a very communicative host, and Maria the concierge is a fantastic on-site source. She helped us arrange for several taxis and excursion appointments as well. Laundry service was a major plus too. The highlight was having a sloth living in a nearby tree for three of the four days we were here. It was so fun watching it. Then one day about 40 of the little titi moments came through and played by the pool for about 20 minutes. It was so entertaining and created a lifetime memory. We also had howler monkeys visit in the nearby tress on our last day. The gorgeous macaws flew over us several times per day. The town of Manuel Antonio is a short 5 minute walk away and has all the shops and restaurants and bars and coffee you’ll need. As others pointed out, the driveway is extremely steep and not for those with mobility problems. Some taxis will come get you at the bottom of the driveway but others preferred you to come to the top.

What a house!! This was 100% perfect for our group of 8 adults! The location provides a gorgeous view of the ocean as well as wildlife up close…all 3 monkey species, the macaws & parakeets flying overhead & we even had a sloth outside our front door. The location is walking distance to the super or mini markets as well as many restaurants & bars; it’s a quick ride to the National park & beach. Had a few maintenance issues, which were taken care of quickly. The only downfall is the incredibly steep driveway to the house; it’s no joke! We met our excursion transportation & Ubers at the top of our driveway ( but within our “neighborhood”.) Those with mobility issues will definitely have trouble navigating it. This house has maid & laundry service as well as a safe in most of the rooms. We had a chef come into the villa three times. Chef Tito who was the recommended chef was already booked, so he had Chef Gerald take care of us. He was excellent. Highly recommend the villa.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay Rob! Thank you for your kind words and come back and see us again! Jody

This place was amazing. We read all of the reviews and booked it as we were coming with our younger kids who were wanting to see monkeys/animals. This place delivered. Every morning we had dozens of monkeys visiting, and our kids were in heaven just watching the wildlife. Beyond that we saw lizards, toucans, and more. And that’s just the entertainment, ha. The home is far more beautiful than the pictures even show. Such a fun vibe for a place. That, and such easy access to lots of food and amazing beaches. We genuinely loved this place and would love to return someday!

Words cannot describe the beauty of both the house and the surroundings. We arrived after dark and when we looked outside in the morning we were met with the most unbelievable view. There were 8 of us and not once did we feel like we were in each other's way. The house is huge!! The daily maid service was absolutely a bonus that we weren't expecting,,, she gave us so much extra time to enjoy ourselves. The wildlife was so much fun. We didn't even want to leave the property because we were scared to miss something. Monkeys galore everyday,, a sloth and a toucan plus lots of others. We walked to so many amazing restaurants and bars. We took ubers to the beach because it would have been quite a long walk. 100 percent rent this place if you are ever considering Manuel Antonio,,, you will not be disappointed.

Very glad you and your group enjoyed the location Tracey! Come back and stay with us again anytime!! Jody

Jody’s place was absolutely stunning! The view from the patio and swimming pool are breathtaking. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife without ever leaving the house, including a daily visit from all three species of monkeys. The bedrooms in the house are all very separate which is great for privacy when traveling with a group. I would warn the hill down to the house is extremely steep and not accessible for most vans for excursions. They are able to pick you up at the top (2 minute walk) but something to keep in mind if traveling with anyone with mobility issues. All in all this place is amazing and walkable to a number of great spots Emilio’s cafe, YOLO, Cafe Milagro …just bearing in mind there is a bit of climb at the start. Overall the house is fantastic and we can’t wait to go back!
