Shannon's house and property is beautiful with lots of natural light, updated, comfortable furniture, and has everything to help make staying there enjoyable. The pool and yard are fabulous. The house is centralized in terms of location and the grocery market and restaurants at Esterillos Town Center are very convenient (5-minute drive) for basic groceries and a breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner out. We also recommend Vida Hermosa Bar & Restaurant 30 minutes north to be able to sit outside for a meal while your toes are in the sand and watch surfers in action.

Shannon was a great host and the house was perfect for our family reunion: spacious, comfortable, clean, equipped with everything we needed and just steps away from the beach.

We had the best time in Costa Rica! The house was exquisite and had everything we needed. We especially loved the swimming pool and being so close to the beach. We used the boogie boards every single day. We did a lot of excursions but would have been just as happy at the house and beach for free. Alonso was extremely helpful in booking the excursions. We zip lined, did the monkey tour, dolphin/snorkeling tour and boat ride, and horseback riding on the beach. The horse ride was very slow but good for kids. We also used the private chef that will come to the house. That was well worth the money and very reasonably priced in my opinion. If I had to pick between the excursions or the private chef, I would pick the private chef every night. All in all great vacation. Shannon was extremely helpful and responsive. Shannon also helped us book a photographer to take family pictures right there at the beach. Thank you, Shannon for sharing your home with us! We would come back in a heartbeat.

Absolute dream of a stay!! Shannon’s home exceeded our expectations. Met the needs of young kids and retired grandparents alike. Alonso was the best resource, helping us plan our entire week! We can’t wait to return!!

We think this may be the best Airbnb in Costa Rica, especially for families! Let me give you an example of why—our magical afternoon routine. Each afternoon, we walked just 30 seconds from the house to the beach. The ocean has gentle, shallow waves where our six-year-old played, and further out, big waves that our teens loved. We’d often stay in the ocean as the sun set over the enormous, pristine beach—peaceful, with just the right number of people. Afterward, we’d rinse in the outdoor shower and relax in the pool, watching the moon rise and stars appear. Even from the pool, you can see the beach—pure magic. The location is a dream: lots of wildlife (including sloths & wild parrots), paved roads & easy access to great restaurants and a grocery store with options for vegans and picky eaters alike. From here, you can book private surf lessons, a chef, spa services, etc. right to the house. It is clear a lot of love has been put into this place! We really hope to come back. 🦥🌴🏄‍♀️

The only problem with this Airbnb is you’ll love it so much, it’s hard to leave and explore the rest of Costa Rica! I’ve booked almost 50 Airbnbs and stayed in about a dozen more—this is the top of the top! From the comfy couch by the pool, you can see the ocean perfectly and watch the waves. We were close to Manuel Antonio and near Jacó, where we watched a Saturday surf competition. What a great way to experience CR! There’s so much to do in this part of the country but this incredible home and stunning, spacious beach makes it so hard to leave! Our kids loved the pool, we loved the convenience of having a lot of different things we could all be doing at once. Some people could be at the beach, others at the pool, others reading, getting a massage, cooking, looking for the resident sloth, etc. all from the house. The house is spacious and beautifully designed. I truly can’t image a better place for a big family to experience this incredible part of the world!

Shannon’s house is the perfect getaway for friends or family. Every room is thoughtfully designed—no one ends up with the “bad” room! The pool is incredible, the outdoor space is beautiful, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. The location is unbeatable—right across from the beach with super easy access in and out. The sunsets are absolutely unforgettable. Shannon also provides all the beach gear you could want, making the experience even more enjoyable. She’s incredibly responsive and helpful—we felt taken care of the entire time. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. thank you

Shannon was an excellent host. She gave us good cleaning recommendations during our stay and a chef to cook at home. We really felt like we were on vacation and we were able to rest after the tours. The best part is that the house is spectacular, literally in front of the sea! A pool with a super pleasant temperature and perfect day and afternoon for children with a lot of energy. Alonso was very helpful during our stay and super friendly! Thank you for everything!!!

I can not stress enough, BOOK THIS HOUSE!!!! It was perfect in every way. Very clean, great location, spacious, beautifully decorated, plenty of seating inside and out and the beds were very comfortable. The backyard was so peaceful, you can’t beat the view/sound of the ocean from the back porch. Alonzo (concierge) was a very helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our plans went perfectly. Gary was pretty cute too! Shannon has a little piece of heaven and is kind enough to share it. She was very kind, she reached out several times just checking in making sure things were good. The one and only negative thing….we ran out of time and had to return home. We will definitely be back, hopefully this year! Thanks for having us!!!!

This house was gorgeous and had a most amazing view of Playa Bejuco from the entirety of the backyard. There was ample seating around the pool and a direct gate access to Playa Bejuco. Alonso was super integral to assisting with all of activities in the area and facilitating restaurant recommendations. Our trip was soooo much better because of Alonso!!! The area has a few walkable restaurants but I would recommend renting a vehicle in Jaco for a wider array of possibilities. Playa Hermosa has quite a few and is a 20 minute drive. Playa Hermosa has a surfing contest and music every Saturday night which is a must. Valhalla Cafe near the house is also a must for excellent coffee and pastries for breakfast. Our family vacation in Bejuco was more than I could have asked for. We will definitely be back.
