Great location tucked away in the wilderness. Thanks for hosting us!

Our family absolutely loved staying at Sarah’s place and would give it 5 stars without hesitation! Everything was exactly as described in the listing and reviews. The home is private, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful wildlife, which made it feel like a true getaway. The outdoor living space was amazing and we could have happily spent months here without any issues. We spent most of our days lounging in the hot sun by the pool and cooling off with a swim. The pool was actually much larger than it appears in the photos, which was a wonderful surprise! The kitchen was perfectly laid out and fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare great meals. The house is also just a 5-minute drive to Uvita, where there are plenty of dining options if you prefer to eat out. Highly recommend!

Ericka was outsanding and she helped us with local questions and details. Great place for my family the stay ... we will come back again!! Love the swimimg poll and outside architecture layout of the house in the middle of the trees. We really enjoyed the vacation rental house.

This place was amazing. It’s private, quiet, has everything you could possibly need. The onsite caretaker, Erika is the best also. So communicative and warm. The handbook says to follow a pin provided, however, it brought my sister to the wrong location. Following the name of the place in Google Maps did work, however. Either way, we saw monkeys, toucans, so many hummingbirds, butterflies, everything you could want all at the house. Miss it!

The place is just as it appears in the photos. In general, it is clean and organized. The kitchen is well equipped. I would add black-out curtains for the bedrooms as a lot of light comes in at dawn.

Host Response

Hi Andrea, Thanks for staying at Mas Palmas. We have blackout curtains for each room and our care taker can set them up for you next time.

My family, close friends, and I stayed here for a month. The house is located near the main road and is easily accessible to many local attractions. The host, Sarah, was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. The on-site caretaker, Erika, kept the house clean and comfortable and was always available to help us. Having Erika and her family on-site was the highlight of our stay. I wouldn't call this a "Luxury Villa," and most items in the home are pretty worn. We had maintenance issues with the air conditioning, toilet, and washing machine. We realize these types of problems arise and they made every effort to fix promptly. Each bedroom had its own air conditioner and private bath. The rest of the house had an open-air concept, which can be beautiful. The downside to the outdoor living area and kitchen is the adjustment to the heat, bugs (geckos work hard to keep those away), and daytime noise. Unfortunately, we encountered construction noise during our stay.

Host Response

Hi Debra, Thank you again for staying with us and your feedback. Since you checked out, we've replaced the toaster and blender that you mentioned were worn. We've also had repair people come and service the air conditioners, toilet, and washing machine. We look forward to hosting you again.

This was a dreamy place and the kids spent a lot of time in the pool. We didn't see the sloth, but of course he's not predictable. We did see a few gorgeous birds. There was plenty of crockery and flatware, although the pans could have used an upgrade. It was nice to have the caretakers on the premises. There were plenty of towels--a real plus. The bugs weren't bad if we remembered to turn down the lights and close the curtains. Really the main downside was the hassle of locking up, with having to lock each room individually and then unlock and re-lock the gate whenever we wanted to go out.
