What paradise! We really enjoyed our stay at Julie's place, in the middle of a small, private jungle. The communication with Julie was super easy; she always responded quickly. The cottage is even better than in the description. You have everything you need, it is nice and quiet, the terrace is wonderful, Luna the cat is very cuddly and sweet, and we had a short visit from a raccoon. The cottage is a 5-minute walk from the sea, and the beach is wonderful. A very great, relaxing stay. We will be happy to come back.

Our little paradise on Playa Hermosa - absolute recommendation if you are looking for a place to stay near the beach & want to be a little outside of Santa Teresa 🏖️☀️ The highlight of the casita was the great terrace & through the fans we didn't need any air conditioning at all, you could open all the windows/terrace doors. It felt like staying in the middle of the jungle - we just love the sounds in Costa Rica. 🐒

It was a very pleasant stay and Julie was always available. She even spoiled us with little gifts.

This was hands down the best Airbnb experience I’ve had. I’ve been to Hermosa several times, and Julie’s place is where I’ll be staying from now on. She’s an exceptional host—thoughtful, responsive, and has truly thought of everything. The house is stocked with everything you need, from kitchen gear to yoga mats, candles, and games. The outdoor space is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing or working outside. The internet was fast and totally reliable, which made working remotely easy. Julie checked in just the right amount and had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The whole stay was smooth, quiet, and comfortable—can’t recommend it enough.

I had a fantastic stay at Julie’s place. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Julie was a wonderful host. She is responsive, friendly, and thoughtful. Minutes walk away from the beach, brunch/coffee spots. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience in Santa Teresa.

Fabulous bungalow, great outdoor living space, cool clean and calming bedroom for sleeping in tropical clime. Walkable to surf shops, surf spots, tide pools, market, and quick drive to great restaurants. Loved the two pooches on property and Julie super helpful with amenities and any issues with appliances. Pura Vida, baby!

This place truly felt like a heaven on earth, equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights. Julie, the host, was exceptionally attentive, sending us recommendations and always ready to assist with any requests. The garden was stunning and well-maintained, making our time there even more enjoyable. We genuinely wished we could have stayed much longer. Julie is by far the best host ever! Her casita is the most wonderful little sanctuary tucked in the heart of the gorgeous, quiet neighborhood of Playa Hermosa. It was exactly as described, well decorated and stocked with everything you need from sunscreen to beach towels to kitchen supplies. She even had fresh sourdough bread and a papaya for us upon arrival. The outdoor / indoor shower was also a huge treat. The cleaning service also came twice while we were there and you are just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Julie also gave us the most wonderful recommendations from surf instructors to activities to restaurants. She was very responsive and beyond gracious and generous with her time, and so much more. We are so lucky to have found her and stayed at her wonderful home and can't wait to be back soon :)

Stayed for a week as a solo traveler and this place was perfect. The location is secluded but easily walkable to everywhere in Playa Hermosa (the beach, cafes and restaurants, and a small supermarket). To get to/from Santa Teresa or elsewhere on the lower peninsula you should rent a vehicle (I'd recommend a quad). It's a short drive but probably too far to walk. Julie is an incredible host and helped with taxis, quad rental, and surf lessons. Loved watching the monkeys swing through the trees on the property. Highly recommended!

Julie is a wonderful host and we took her right into our hearts. She is very helpful without being intrusive. She was very responsive to our questions and gave us good tips and recommendations. The little house is super located and very clean. Every three days it is cleaned - it was really a great service. The garden with the veranda was a dream in the steady heat. You feel very safe and immediately comfortable. The supermarket and beach as well as the surf school are easily accessible on foot, which we greatly appreciated.

Julie’s casita is small but comfy and had everything we needed! The bed is on the firmer side. We loved the patio, sitting in the hammock, and listening to birds and howler monkeys. Howlers and white faced monkeys visited us in the trees every day. Julie’s two dogs are sweet & guard the casita from monkeys getting too close. ;) Julie was so communicative, gave us great recommendations and helped us make some reservations at restaurants. The location is slightly outside of the business of Santa Teresa- which we appreciated. Just know that you’ll want some mode of transportation to go into Santa Teresa. The beach is just a short 5 min walk away. Howler monkeys howling & monkeys dropping avocados onto the roof did wake us up pretty early one morning, but it is part of being in the jungle of Costa Rica. :)

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Papaya. Julie’s place was perfect for the two of us. Everything was excellent including the spacious outside living space. Julie was a wonderful host. We’ll be back!

Julie is a top tier host! A+++. She was very helpful with suggesting things to do, places to see, and great spots to eat. The little casita is very comfortable, private, and clean. I highly recommend her spot if you are visiting the area.

Julie’s surf casita is absolutely wonderful. Playa Hermosa is an a gem in Santa Teresa, and we’re so glad we had Julie’s place to stay nearby. It’s small but cozy with everything you need, and a lovely outdoor living room with a hammock to hang out it (the bathroom and outdoor shower is wonderful!). Julie kindly met us and showed us around, and we loved hanging out with her adorable dogs. She kindly brought us a few coconuts which we very much appreciated, and was just lovely and welcoming all around. We’d love to come back! Pura vida 🌴 🥥 🌞
