Beautiful place to stay. Go to sleep and wake up in the jungle. Great stay and love how close it was to the cliff jumping

This was a beautiful place in the heart of San Marcos. The views were stunning, the breakfast was delicious! Very hippie town - lots of vegetarian friendly options.

Lush Hotel was a beautiful place for me to stay to really enjoy San Marcos. It was centrally located, the restaurant had great food, and the staff were friendly. I loved the character of the building and how it integrated with nature.

I absolutely loved staying at Lush! It was such a peaceful experience. I would definitely book here again. As people have mentioned in other reviews, you are surrounded by nature so yes you will hear wildlife all the time and see a few insects. However, it’s nothing that will get in the way of your experience here. Can’t wait to go back!

The place is spectacular, it's just as it is in the photos. It is very well kept, clean and the room was beautiful. The staff is super friendly, the food in the restaurant is very good. It's worth it!

It was a wonderful time

We had a really wonderful stay at Lush. The staff was so, so friendly and accommodating. This is a true hotel, and this suite has a gorgeous terrace tucked into the hillside with an amazing view. We absolutely loved the food (included breakfast was stellar) and the location was as quiet as San Marcos is going to be. The room was as described: cozy with an epic terrace. Things to note, in case you are considering a stay: there are lots of precarious stairs, bugs/spiders/harmless scorpions/birds/dogs live here and it's their home. You will hear and see them around the area, even in the night or early morning. I'm a sensitive sleeper and it's just part of the jungle package to hear birds and animals, somewhat early nearby construction, etc.--welcome to Central America! :) This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay if you're looking for the quietest possible spot with wonderful food, vibes, staff, safety, and plant life.

Pure magic. The photos don’t do it justice. The staff went above and beyond, bringing breakfast to my room in the mornings so I could sit on the amazing upper patio and soak in the insane views. The sunrise view from bed was out of this world. Showering (with hot water!) in the cliff side was amazing. This is an eco hotel and they are very upfront about it so just know you may meet a few critters about but they won’t bother you. The grounds were so lush. This is by far and wide the best place to stay in San Marcos.

Loved, loved, LOVED our stay here! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. We tried both restaurants quite a bit, and the food was always amazing. All the people who work there are so kind and friendly. They are super responsive and helpful, my friend got food poisoning and they helped a lot by bringing bananas and bread up to the room! Perfect location near the dock and the nature reserve to swim in. Magical place!

The property is absolutely beautiful. The room was so unique and comfy. So much natural light and a great porch to watch the rain! The front staff were so kind and went out of their way to take care of us after we finished hiking Acatenango the day before checking in. We really enjoyed the live music and morning meals at the restaurant. This was a perfect place to relax after weeks of backpacking!

My stay at Lush has been very good! I unfortunately got sick the first night I came here and the stuff was very attentive to my needs and caring so I can feel comfortable. They made me feel like home. The Room is beautiful, very clean and with great taste! The garden is majestic and the restaurant does a great job too. Overall a beautiful stay that I would highly recommend to anyone who wished to visit San Marcos in Lake Atitlan.
