Casa Hersan is one of our most favorite places. Our family has stayed here several times now and each time we return it feels like visiting our own private slice of paradise. The house is so unique, we love being able to be so close to the beach, listening to the birds and watching the fireflies at night. It is far enough away from the main town that nights are peaceful but close enough that you can take a nice walk on the beach or short 5 min car ride. The family that owns the house is so kind and welcoming, we love that they greet us and welcome us with fresh fruits and coffee. We cannot say enough nice things about our stay here. It is Magical, we look forward to returning!

This was our family’s second stay and we had another fantastic vacation. We arrived much later than anticipated due to traffic and hosts were extremely understanding and waited for us for hours. The location is perfect for a peaceful family vacation with plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Pura vida!

Gerardo, Theresa, and Gustavo explained everything thoroughly about the property and gave us information about local tours. The home and pool were clean and beautiful, and in such an amazing location to walk onto the beach and enjoy an ocean swim or watch the sunset. Also only 7 minute drive into town. We are hoping to come back some day :)

Fantastic place, very open house concept, blending inside to the beautiful outdoors. Well kept house and yard, with beautiful pool and amazing view of the ocean. Easy walk into town and several other locations around the area. Several supermarkets and mini-markets available for food, and many little restaurants to enjoy the beautiful views. Hosts were great, quick to reply, helpful, and always courteous. Would definitely come back again!

Very nice place near Sàmara, but very peaceful. We loved our experience. The terrace is amazing with the sea view. You shouldn't be afraid of the insects that also share the house, but that's normal since the house is not sealed at all. The lizards take care of hunting the ants in the house, and the mosquito nets on the beds do a great job of protecting us while we listen to the sound of waves at bedtime. There's nothing better than the sounds of monkeys to start the day. This place was our favorite of the trip.

There were 7 of us adults sharing this magnificent house. Everyone loved the place! 10 days of pure happiness! Feel free to choose this beautiful place if you want a quiet spot outside the city that is, however, a 20-minute walk from the beach, allowing us to enjoy it. We really enjoyed a spectacular few days, but what definitely stood out most about this experience was the personalized attention and the warmth with which we were welcomed by both Mr. Gerardo and his wife (Ms. Tere). They were both exemplary hosts, attentive and respectful, showing interest in our requests and needs in order to help us feel at home...

Very beautiful place! Steps from the beach. Wonderful pool too! You must understand the connection to the culture as the Airbnb is in the middle of the community. If you’ve never stayed in Playa Samara it offers so much beauty and more! At night you will hear all of the sounds in the community including domestic animals, chickens, turkeys, monkeys, birds and more birds. If you are looking for complete quiet and blackout rooms then this is not it. You will have critters visit at night as the curtains are open shutters. My kids found this entertaining. The mosquito nets kept us from any bites. It does get hot as the unit cannot provide AC. We found it comfortable enough in the evenings, nights and early mornings. We just had to stay in the pool or ocean during the heat of the day. The host was very responsive and tried to help when we noticed a crack in the kayak. They tried to fix it for us when we were there. We will definitely be back! Thank you Playa Samara, what a great town:)

We had such a wonderful stay here! Our kids absolutely loved the pool, and even without air conditioning, the house was always very comfortable. It’s well shaded by lush vegetation and there’s a constant natural breeze that keeps everything cool. The location was great, about a 20 minute walk along the beach into town or just a quick 7 minute drive. The view was breathtaking. There’s also a small supermarket nearby with everything you might need. The hosts were very communicative and easy to work with. Overall, five stars all the way. We loved it so much!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was more beautiful than anticipated. It was amazing to listen to the birds every morning while having coffee. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We felt so connected to nature while also enjoying luxuries and comforts.

Casa Sàmara is a uniquely built home which allows you to connect with the beautiful surroundings. You can watch the sunset over the ocean from the house, porch or by walking a few yards to the beach in front of you! Sleep to the sound of birds. My family had the perfect vacation.

The sign of any great trip/stay is that you never want to leave and that is definitely the case with our time at Casa Samara HerSan! We had a full house with two families ages 15-55yrs filling every bed. Our hosts were quick to respond from booking to the end of our trip and were lovely receiving us at the house. If you’ve read the previous reviews there shouldn’t be any surprises. We were fully satisfied and loved our time living beach front for 10 days. Pura Vida!

Spent 2 weeks with 7 people, cooked most of our meals in-house! The kitchen had everything for large gatherings! We plan on returning!

Cozy house with a unique spirit, where you feel close to nature and completely relaxed. The swimming pool and the deck with a large table overlooking the ocean are lovely. We really enjoyed the swimming gear - kayak, fins, mask, and bodyboards, very useful! We also appreciated the welcoming touch of fresh fruit, tea, and coffee.
