We loved this place. The views were gorgeous and it was extremely private and safe and perfect for a relaxing family trip. You definitely need a car because the road to the house is so steep that it’s not walkable, but there are all kinds of beaches and restaurants within a quick and easy 5 to 10 minute drive. And then when you’re at home, you’ve got beautiful sunsets up high and a great pool, as well as a fully stocked kitchen if you want to cook. Highly recommend.

This home was perfect! The various beaches are all within 10-15 min drive. Exactly as described. A great way to spend a few days in the pool with amazing sunset views. The home is located within a private and gated neighborhood with security. Not that we felt unsafe anywhere in the area. Just nice piece of mind. Also recommend checking out Conchal Beach and the Gracia Restaurant (within the community). This property is not within walking distance of the beach and that is perfectly fine. The views from the elevated position on the mountain is spectacular.

This was our second visit to Casa Cacoon. It was just as amazing as our first! The view from the home is gorgeous. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality cookware. Catherine and Jennifer were quick to respond to any questions we had. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor space around the pool. Thank you both!

Catherine and Jennifer were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. My daughter got sick one day, and we had an excursion planned. I reached out to them, and someone dropped off some medicine within an hour. It was such a relief. My daughter felt better by the time we got back that afternoon, and the rest of us were able to enjoy our excursion. Their home has absolutely breathtaking views that never get old. The sunsets and mornings spent on the patio were my favorite parts of the trip. The home was stocked with all the kitchen essentials, making cooking easy. The house had plenty of linens and towels, which made showering for six people stress-free. We will be back, we enjoyed every minute of it, and the home and their hospitality made it just perfect.

We did not wish to leave! The home is beautiful, matched the listing description, was very comfortable, and the view breathtaking. It was our first trip to Costa Rica. Catherine was very responsive to our questions and helpful. The location is nice and private, with a beautiful restaurant located within the community and minutes away from town and beach. She offers beach chairs and towels and bag to take to the beach ! The infinity pool is spectacular. I woke up every day going for a walk and swimming laps enjoying coffee and beverages on the patio everyday. My son is in the culinary business and the kitchen was modern and well equipped with all he needed to cook everyday. We look forward to returning to Pura Vida!!!

Catherine’s place in Mar Vista was just what we were looking for in Costa Rica. It was perfect for our family of four (including two kids 8 and 10 years old). The view from the place is stunning and the pool was perfect. It was great to be in a gated community that felt very safe and private, but it was also a quick 5-10 minute drive to Playa Flamingo and Playa Brasilito and several restaurants and other conveniences. The house had a very nice kitchen that was nicely equipped and everything worked. Catherine and her team were easy to communicate with as well. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Cocoon!

A definite repeat! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt as though we entered a magical place. The atmosphere was peaceful and the views were breathtaking. The concierge was very helpful with recommendations and helping us plan an itinerary for our first time in Costa Rica.

Our stay as a family (two adults and two kids) was absolutely amazing, we had a breathtaking view across the ocean and mountains.The house had beautiful landscape, infinity pool, unique scenery outside each of the rooms, and many more comforts. It was such a peaceful and relaxed property that cannot be described in the pictures. The location is very secure and is within in a gated community close to all the amenities.We will definitely be coming back!

Great home and incredible views!

Beautiful house with an amazing view. Wonderful for a group since each bedroom had its own bathroom. Well appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We spent most of our days outside enjoying the pool and beautiful sunsets.

We had a wonderful stay in this Mar Vista home. Catherine's was very responsive to inquiries. We received all necessary access information in a timely manner. The home was beautiful and the view did not disappoint. The home was well equipped. While the immediate area is not easily walkable due to the steep hills, we did enjoy the private community walking trails that were decently marked. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Playa Flamingo.

Our stay was fantastic! We came home every evening to sit on the porch and watch the amazing sunsets. The house is very comfortable and well equipped.
