We had a great stay at Sebastián's in every way. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily. There were also fresh towels every day, which we greatly appreciated. The small kitchen was practically equipped and perfect for smaller meals. The breakfast was delicious and varied every morning – a great start to the day. However, we would like to particularly emphasize the hospitality of Sebastián and his team. Everyone was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and always made an effort to make us feel comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would book this place again anytime. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

I booked this place and as with any other Airbnb the host will reach out via Airbnb with instructions on how to get to the property and how to get inside however Sebastián did not. My partner and I arrived to the property which is gated and locked and we weren’t sure how to get inside. It was down pouring so we wouldn’t sit outside trying to figure it out so we returned to our car and I tried to reach Sebastian via Airbnb to which he wouldn’t respond. After about 30 minutes and the rain letting up we tried again and were able to ring a doorbell and get in. Sebastian told me that the instructions were sent via another app however I was not told that’s how they were being delivered. The property was nice however the room itself was a little less than expected. I would recommend a room freshener as it does have a smell. We unfortunately had a family emergency and had to leave and couldn’t stay for our intended stay and Sebastian refused a refund and kept changing his reasoning.

We communicated with you before your arrival and sent you the check-in details, schedules, location, breakfast menu, and other necessary instructions via WhatsApp. During your stay, we were also available to help with any questions. Regarding the refund, we understood and deeply regret the family emergency that you reported to us. However, the reservation was made under a non-refundable cancellation policy, which was accepted at the time the reservation was confirmed. The room remained reserved exclusively for you during the contracted nights and could no longer be marketed, while the operating costs (staff, cleaning, breakfast and other services) had already been covered by our establishment. It is striking that several of the comments included in this review only appeared after it was not possible to obtain an exception to said policy. Our obligation is to apply the same booking conditions fairly to all guests. Since its opening, Kañik Apart Hotel has maintained excellent ratings from hundreds of guests who especially highlight our personalized service, cleanliness, facilities and included breakfast, aspects that are part of our identity and of which we are very proud. We sincerely regret the personal situation you experienced and wish you all the best.

It's really a beautiful place!! It's surrounded by lots of nature. I was able to totally disconnect. I saw monkeys, hummingbirds, sloths and lots of butterflies with incredible colors!! Waking up to birdsong or the howling of monkeys is an experience you must have if you really like nature!! Breakfast is delicious and plentiful enough that you won't be hungry until 5 pm, haha. Of course, Javier and Sebastian were excellent in their service and very attentive to all needs! I will definitely be back!!

Amazing place to stay! Host was very responsive and friendly, would highly recommend. Beach is a very close walk and lots of wildlife around. We saw spider monkeys and howlers from the pool. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would hi go my recommend to anytime.

Sebastián was excellent! Very kind and warm. The breakfast was very delicious and the place was amazing. Clean, comfortable, nice. I would come back without a second thought.

A really great place to stay with top service, a great breakfast and a 5-minute walk to a great beach with lounge chairs. Javier was always available, had great tips and responded to all our requests! 10/10 recommended

A great place. Sebastian was very friendly and attentive to everything at all times. A place with beautiful views. Waking up to the sound of nature is priceless. 100% recommended. I hope to return soon.

Excellent place, quiet. I really liked it and yes, I would come back. It was exactly as described. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was very clean. The beach is super close, about 300 meters away, and the host was always attentive. I recommend going to the restaurants in Puerto Viejo, which are about 20 minutes away. On the nights around the pool, there are a lot of toads, in case anyone is afraid of them, take that into account. There is always safe drinking water and ice available at the front desk, which is great. Overall, highly recommended! :)

Kañik Apart Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The property is super cute, and everything felt thoughtfully set up. It was incredibly easy to get to both the beach and the town, which made getting around really convenient. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend it!
