We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Dione is incredibly kind and helpful, and she (and Partner :) ) truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was so nice: cozy, comfortable and full of warm, homey feelings. The breakfasts each morning were the cherry on top; delicious while watching the hummingbirds fly around. The location was perfect — a quiet and private place surrounded by nature with just a 5-minute drive to the beach and only a few minutes from several nice restaurants and activities. Easily our best stay so far - 20/10! We would definitely recommend this relaxing and welcoming getaway!

Our stay at Dione’s place was amazing. Dione is a very kind and welcoming host! She took the time and went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience possible. She makes the best breakfast each morning with fresh coffee and fruit, very peaceful and fulfilling way to start your days! Her property has a very calming essence to it. The location is ideal, super close to all the good beaches but tucked away enough to feel secluded with all kinds of wildlife around you. Even a family of monkeys we got to see multiple times right from our balcony. I highly recommend this Airbnb!!

Breakfasts here are as photo worthy as they are delicious, and it’s quite the bonus that you’ll enjoy your beans, rice, eggs and fruit (or French toast or pancakes and banana smoothie) under howler monkeys navigating trees and hummingbirds flitting past. The cottage has a treehouse feel but with air conditioning welcome in mid afternoons come summer. Dione is a host who instantly feels like a friend and who generously shares both morning coffee and great outing recommendations. There’s a healing feel to the jungle-like surroundings and while its great to just hang out at the casita, you’ll likely be happiest if you’ve rented a car to explore the gorgeous local beaches, wealth of events and classes and great restaurants. If you like homemade pasta you’re in luck. The longtime Italian settlement has brought unexpected variety to the great local cuisine. Finally, you can’t beat the value. Breakfast alone nearly covers your nightly cost! Enjoy!

Wonderful oasis hosted by a kind person. Everything you need to feel at home- when you aren’t soaking up the sun at the stunning guanacaste beaches nearby.

The place was very well maintained and had a beautiful location. Dione was an excellent host who spoiled us very much. We felt very comfortable with her and can highly recommend the accommodation!

My stay at Casa Wisdom Tree was perfect! If anyone deserves Super Host status it’s Dione! She has thought of every detail possible for her guests to have a delightful and comfortable stay at her wonderful Airbnb. The casita is adorable and fully equipped. I loved the outdoor shower. Dione also generously allows use of her kitchen. However, there’s hardly a need to cook after the scrumptious and hearty breakfast that she lovingly prepares every morning. There are also excellent places nearby to eat in El Carillo. Dione has great suggestions on restaurants, beautiful hikes and places to visit in the area. I really enjoyed being away from the tourist area, and Samara is a short drive or bus ride away. The beach in El Carillo is stunning. Don’t miss the gorgeous sunsets. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great place to relax and rewind. I look forward to coming again someday.

We had such a good time with Dione that we decided to stay longer than planned. The place is beautiful and we felt super comfortable. Dione is the best, she makes great breakfast but especially just being with her felt so good and almost like home. She gave us great Tipps for where to go and was always there for questions or in case we need any help. Thank you so much! We already miss you and the place and definitely want to come back :)

Dione was really welcoming and helpful with places to go and to eat; her breakfast was amazing and she is a really nice person. She think about everything…. even a foot towel or a waterproof case for the phone!

Actually, we were looking for a house by the sea... we landed with Dione in the jungle. The reviews made us curious and so we changed our plans. We don't have a car. Dione picked us up in Samara. We all knew from the first moment that it would be good. And that's it! It felt like we'd known each other for a long time. Every morning there was a super delicious breakfast. It is a very relaxed place. A nice mix of tranquility, nice conversations and a lot of fun. And of course not to forget the thick towels that are always praised here! I would like to point out that the toilet paper is also thick! Also Dione's dog, his name is Partner, is such a lovely animal. Oh, it was really nice! We wanted to extend, but unfortunately that was not possible because other guests are coming. In fact, we are now in a house by the sea and are very happy and grateful for the week in the jungle with Dione and partner.

Dione is a very friendly person, although she does not speak Spanish. Communication was easy because she tries to make herself understood. She is very friendly and gave us excellent service. Her breakfasts are very good, the place is very cool and nice, and it's close to the beaches! A very good stay, I would go back many more times!

Wow.. it is exceptional....the Host has a heart of gold, breakfast was better than at home, Wisdom tree and Partner are real delights, hope to come back one day....

Dione's room is separated from her house by a short walkway and porch where we ate breakfast and chatted each morning. She makes something different each day. The private room included a mini frig, excellent air conditioning and was otherwise well-appointed. I loved the thick towels! We really enjoyed the birds in the trees around the house, hearing the howler monkeys and seeing white-faced monkeys at a distance. We appreciated Dione's tips on local experience gems and, of course, the fine sand of beautiful Playa Carrillo. We strongly recommend this host and AirBnB!

From the time I was called to her place by Mother Earth, to the day I left Dione's patch of heaven she made sure to cover all the bases to make sure my stay was wonderful! The location is fabulous, and the host was even better. A great place to release, relax and rebuild. The energy that the place and Dione, both give you will help you disconnect and remember what life is really about. Everything was top notch. If you love nature, beaches and a few great conversations don't pass this up. Pura Vida!

If you love nature this is definitely the place for you. I literally worked with my computer on the balcony with a view of animals and plants. Playa Carillo, which is one of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica, is a 5 minute drive and Samara is not too far away either. Dione, the host is a wonderful human being and made me feel incredibly welcome in her home. The place brims with positive energy and serenity. The breakfasts that Dione provides are better than most restaurants and made with love. She also has plenty of accessories to rent if you want to snorkel or need a beach chair. I definitely got hooked up with the great tips she provided me on places to go and things to visit. It feels like a safe space overall; its clean with a big bed and has everything you need. The value in staying here is unmatched compared to the hotels that are beachside.

Dione's room was a unique experience. The accommodation is very private, yet everything in the area is very quickly accessible. A dream for all nature and animal lovers. We were able to feed a coati with bananas. Dione is a wonderful, warm person. It was a lot of fun talking to her and she gave us good tips to explore the beautiful area! Breakfast in the morning is super delicious and the perfect start to the day!

Dione is a thoughtful and caring host. she has done a lovely job equipping the "jungle cabin" with unusually high quality towels, good bedding, etc. At the time I stayed there she provided a cooked breakfast, coffee and juice along with the unit rental. she was generous to loan me a nice beach chair and even gave me access to her tools for a repair on my car. As advertised there is no shower in the room- you can use the outdoor shower or the one in her house. I wondered if that would be an issue, and it was NOT in any way an issue for me. I used the outdoor shower quite happily while I was there. Sure enough, we had howling monkeys visit, a surprise downpour, good wifi and deeply appreciated peace Nd quiet with great A/C when you need it. Location is a short drive to Playa Carillo and several places to eat. Playa Carillo is 7 km to Samara. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a cozy place that would make us connect with nature and we were not mistaken, on the contrary it was much more than we expected, Dione from the beginning was attentive to our arrival with affection as if we were family, the place is cozy, clean, the breakfast is delicious, the place is magical !!! Dione is the epitome of a perfect Airbnb host! She was so kind, friendly, and easy to communicate with, making my solo trip as smooth as possible. For female travellers- her place is a haven as it felt incredibly safe, cozy, and peaceful. The cleanliness of the amenities was outstanding. Every detail was clearly thought through, and everything exceeded my expectations. Dione went above and beyond to ensure my stay was not only comfortable but very memorable. Not to mention the breakfast was also amazing! I can’t recommend her enough! Whether you’re traveling solo or with a buddy, this is the perfect place to stay. Unique and beautiful jungle house, great location near Carrillo Beach, local restaurants and groceries. Dione is an amazing host, the bed, linens, towels were the best. Many nice touches like beach bag with a huge towel … so appreciated! She served the perfect delicious breakfast. Not only that she is great to talk to. Really enjoyed my stay!!!

During my stay at this Airbnb, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, the place is very comfortable and clean, everything is in good condition, the place is in a quiet environment with nature around, it is the best place to have a relaxing vacation, the location is perfect because the beaches and the town are just a few minutes from the house. Also, Dione, who is the host, is a very nice person, very kind, friendly, funny and always available to help. I really recommend her and her Airbnb if you are looking for a place that will give you a good experience. We left the house very happy and we intend to come back soon.

Casa SMF is a gem in the jungle. We (a couple) really enjoyed our stay - the casa is clean, well appointed and the air conditioning in the bedroom works well. The location is a quiet residential neighborhood developed in the jungle so you will see and hear howler monkeys, exotic birds, butterflies and even a pizote! The neighborhood is a few kilometers from Carillo beach / town so you should have some sort of transport. Dione is a very responsive host and it was a pleasure staying at her Casa SMF.

An amazing place to stay!! It’s exactly as described. The location is perfect as it’s minutes from one of the best beaches in the world and there were lots of great restaurants nearby too. The house is adorable and had everything we needed and more. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a gem of an Airbnb! It is stylish, comfortable and quiet. It is located close to some great restaurants and just a few minute drive to probably the best beach on the Pacific side. Dione was responsive and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. In short, it was perfect! When we come back to the Playa Carrillo area, we will look for Dione’s place to book.
