AltaVista Villas

We had such a wonderful stay at Alta Vista Villas. The home was beautiful and peaceful. Such a comfortable stay at such a beautiful Villa. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance which made it convenient. Really enjoyed the pool and the wildlife. Can’t wait to come again soon.

As all of the reviews have said, this place is truly amazing. The views and surroundings were breathtaking and tons of animals to see. Very convenient location for all of our excursions too. Can’t wait to go back again someday.

Beautiful place!! Can’t beat the view and loved being so close to the beach and national park. Villa was well designed. Loved the birds and wildlife. Fit our family of 5 and kids loved the breakfast each morning.

Incredible! It was the best place we have ever stayed at on Airbnb. The house completely exceeded our expectations. It is perfectly located and surrounded by an unbeatable natural environment. Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtful. The communication was also unbeatable – for every personal problem that came up, the host found a solution. 100% recommended. We'll be back for sure!

I can’t say enough amazing things about this stay! Everything about it was absolutely breathtaking! Daily cleaning service was so nice to have, they did our laundry, we had breakfast delivered every morning, and we saw tons of wildlife! Wilber was the friendliest person I met in Costa Rica! He took the time to show me around the property and point out all the animals! He even came to get me from the room to show me the baby sloth in front of the property so I could see one up close! We also saw monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, sloths, deer, lizards, frogs, and so much more. While the price of the stay seems a little steep, it is worth every penny! This is by far the best stay I’ve ever had and I would come back here 1000x over! It’s walkable to popular restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and pharmacies. I definitely recommend booking your stay here!!!

Excellent accommodation, breakfast is great, and the view from the pool is amazing 🤩

This place was a magical treat in paradise! Wilbert was the BEST host and would show us all the animals on the property and give us restaurant recommendations. Property is next to everything- pharmacy, urgent care, lots of restaurants (go to Santa Plancha- owner is amazing and such good food). The view was amazing!! There are lots of stairs to get to this place though and my 60/70 year old parents were able to do it, but it was a challenge and took time. That is literally the only issue. Other villas on the property don’t have as many though, so you could stay at other ones if that’s a problem or concern. Otherwise I would 100% recommend and want to come back soon :-)

Wow. So happy we stayed here. There was my wife, 16 and 17 year old kids and I. The villa was huge and the perfect base for exploring Manuel Antonio and the surrounding areas. The pool area is great, the breakfast was ace, the daily cleaning perfect. Chris, Wilbert and the rest of the staff were all fantastic. Wilbert is an expert wildlife spotter and Chris sorted all our tours. We saw so much wildlife in and around the villa, its amazing. From the daily visit from the Spider, Squirrel and white faced monkeys, the resident lizards (Bill and Badger!) around the pool, the mother and baby sloths, and loads of different types of birds, it was all fantastic. Loads of places to eat and drink within walking distance and so many tours and things to do depending on how active you want to be. Loved our time here.

We had an amazing 8 night stay at Paloma. We saw SO many animals everyday- sloth swinging right above our pool, monkeys swinging and playing in the trees, scarlet macaws, toucans! The housekeeping and breakfast was lovely, as was Wilbur who showed us animals everyday night. The location was perfect we could walk to restaurants and souvenirs and stores and an easy 3-5 mins to 2 beaches. We couldn’t wait to get home everyday and see the beautiful sunset from our pool! We will be back!

The house was beyond our expectations. It was perfect for our family of 4. Great location, clean, gorgeous inside and out! Concierge was responsive and helpful planning our excursions, pickup to and from airport, in home chef, etc! They truly have the motto of Pura Vida! So much wild life around you! We are obsessed with the beautiful birds, monkeys and the precious sloth that was over our pool the whole stay!! Such a wonderful trip!

We are already dreaming of when we can COME BACK! This place was INCREDIBLE for our family of 4! Wilbur personally greeted us and helped us find all of the animals on the property (immediately showing us 2 sloths). Waking up each morning to the macaws + howler monkeys + toucan and watching their sunrise/sunset behaviors was our favorite! We brought our fresh caught fish from a deep sea fishing excursion (tuna + wahoo + mahi mahi) to “Mangota” and the chef curated the most amazing dishes with the fish we brought in with us. Highly recommend! Cannot say enough about the incredible staff at AltaVista Villas. We felt so taken care of with fresh breakfast each morning brought to our villa + complimentary load of laundry + daily housekeeping + keeping us informed of any animals (most especially the sloths). Stop scrolling and book this place—You will not be disappointed!

Excellent stay at Casa Paloma. Clean, spacious. Walkable to great restaurants. Animals everywhere on the property. Wilberth the concierge showed us some animals we wouldn't normally have seen like a baby sloth and a kinkajou! Highly recommend, would absolutely stay here again.

Large family stay at this gem of a find. Just as beautiful as the photos. All the staff, including Wilbert and Chris, were absolutely incredible. Streamlined check in/ out. Very helpful and had the most amazing meal during our stay with them. The view and natural surroundings were fantastic. Daily monkey and sloth sightings made it truly special. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Our stay was magical! The views were amazing. Villa was perfect and clean, very private and we felt safe. We throughly enjoyed breakfast every day and watching all of the wildlife right off our private porch. Concierge was very helpful in making our reservations for dinner for us. Location is perfect - lots of things in walking distance including a market right across the road. We can't wait to go back and are already looking at dates for next year!
