This is a truly stunning home - the architecture, interior design, and the space! It is even more spectacular than the photos portray. Communication with Fiona was super easy! We had some trouble finding the property, but Fiona was quick to respond and provide help. Having a 4x4 is a must and try your best to check in during daylight hours. The drive to the home is well worth it when you see the ocean views! The home was well stocked with everything we needed. The pool is refreshing and was lovely to cool off. We saw monkeys one morning in the trees on the property. It was really special! The location is incredible! It's about a 5-10 minute drive to markets, restaurants, and shops. The beaches are absolutely incredible! We really enjoyed Playa Santa Teresa. Dining at Eat Street, Ani's, and Mantarraya Cafe were favorites! We hope to be back in the future and would love the opportunity to stay at this vacation rental again! Highly recommend!

Very private beautiful place to stay!!!! Paradise and ocean view! We will be coming back again next year! Photos are 100% accurate. The place was very clean and they help with whatever you need. We rented an atv and she had it delivered to the house and it was there when we arrived. She also scheduled our private shuttle to and from airport in Liberia. Well worth the fee. I would bring cash for the private shuttle. Also take a screenshot of your WiFi password off the site for the villa so you can get the door code once you’re there just in case. Thanks to all that made our trip wonderful!!!!! It was a great honeymoon!!!!!

Great villa located amongst the jungle but still very close to the beach with stunning views. good communication from host and fiona was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. the front gate didn’t close entirely and could have been more secure but we had no issues during our stay. Some sort of blinds for the kitchen/living room windows would have been great for the dark evenings but regardless of this the stay was enjoyable! I would recommend this villa!

We eloped to Mal Pais with close family and this was an amazing house for it! SO beautiful with the most AMAZING views. The photos are exactly as described and concierge was very responsive. The instructions were very helpful to get to the house, but definitely recommend a 4x4 car and UTV/ATV once you get there. They weren’t kidding about the bugs, expect large ones. ;)

If you're looking for an unforgettable escape, this is it. ​The entire property feels incredibly private, tucked away on a hillside with the most breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the ocean. My absolute favorite part was waking up and having coffee on that stunning wooden deck. You can see in how it has a shaded lounge area, which was the perfect spot for relaxing and just watching the waves. They also have a dedicated yoga space, complete with mats and a bar counter, which felt like such a luxury. ​The pool area below the deck was our constant go-to in the heat, offering a refreshing dip with that same incredible backdrop. The surrounding jungle felt so vibrant and alive. The overall vibe of the place is pure tranquillity and luxury. If you’re a nature lover who still wants comfort, you cannot beat this spot.

Beautiful villa on the jungle hills, magical sunset, lots of animals. Spacious and very well-equipped house. One of the most beautiful Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in.

This home is fantastic! Private with beautiful jungle and ocean views. Lots of wildlife out the back door with capuchin monkeys and coati’s visiting almost every day of our stay. The location is perfect - away enough from the busy streets/noise of Santa Teresa but close enough that quick drive gets you to town in minutes. Amazing beach access right down from the road the home is on as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering Santa Teresa/Malpais.

Great experience in Casa Rica, the location matches the description and the house is just like it is shown in the pictures. Excelent location, less than a 10 min drive into Santa Teresa. You get to see monkeys, guaras and hummingbirds without leaving the house! Host is easy to communicate and helps with local recommendations and anything else you may need for your stay. 10/10!!

We travel to Costa Rica with our kids yearly but this time we went 3 of our dear friends. We stayed at Bess’s place for 8 days and it was wonderful. The house is very spacious and was beautiful. As it states you definitely need a 4 x 4 to get up the hill, though the neighbors have been working tediously trying to repair the road as it is an evacuation route. I’m not sure what was better the view or the location. Its jungle setting with an ocean view was one of my favorite things about the place and proximity to town was my second. You’re far enough from town for it to be private yet close enough to be at the beach in less than five minutes. Bess was very responsive and helpful with recommendations. We would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks Bess for the great week!

This is arguably one of the most beautiful airbnbs I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. There is sooo much beauty when you arrive in Santa Teresa and when I got to the house I was speechless. It was like spending a week in paradise. We saw monkeys in the front yard and deck one morning, and a few mornings later in the backyard while we were taking a bath. I will absolutely come back to this house in a few years. Everything about it is amazing and the hosts are easy and quick to communicate with. (They also helped us rent a car, huge help) 1000/10

We started our honeymoon here and couldn't ask for anything more! Fiona was more than helpful with any questions we had and provided great restaurant recommendations in the area! The home feels secluded but you are also so close to the town. We loved listening to the wildlife, doing yoga on the deck, and just relaxing around the home. Pictures don't do the place justice it is just so magical. The home was spotless and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need, so we loved cooking breakfast each morning. We took an all day boat tour and my husband enjoyed cooking the fish we caught at night. I used the outdoor shower every day! Again, the home is magical and we would absolutely stay here again! This was our 2nd time in Costa Rica and we continue to fall in love with this country more and more. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and providing an excellent home that felt so comfortable and homey!
