The place is perfect for a family vacation and for a group of friends. Having a private pool and easy access to the beach is wonderful. The monkeys were fun. A few important details if coming with young children- master bedroom is upstairs and two extra beds if needed are in open space. Downstairs in main house is another room and the two other bedrooms are outside—- so important to think about where young children will be. All 4 rooms have own shower/toilet and another by pool. 100% use Oliver for all activities- even if you like to plan your own things (like me) Ollie came up with great suggestions. If you don’t have dietary constraints - I think the cook would be great, wasn’t worth it for us. We cooked all of our dinners and had lunch out - kitchen is well equipped. We only had noisy neighbors the last night - (till past 2 am - partying by the pool under our bedroom window) I’m sure Ollie would have solved the problem . All in all it’s wonderful and we had a superb vacation.

Wow. Amazing house great set up for a family or four couples.the pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the pool and the beach are. Sitting under the shade trees right on the beach steps away from the house. So easy and relaxing We had coffee every morning right on the beach. Ollie is your man! Helps set up your trip and planning Now here's the best part. Pura Vida cooking featuring Evany who is a young inspiring chef that cooks the most amazing dinners at the house! She prepares everything fresh and the menu is amazing, Costa Rican BBQ and other Costa Rican freshly prepared foods. Her fresh ceviche was amazing. And of course the presentation and cleanup made it even better. She came to cook for us 3 nights of our stay!Food and groceries are very expensive in Costa Rica so this was a more affordable way to eat compared to the over priced "Americanized" restaurants in town. you can walk to town but we recommend taxi pick up at the private gate. I wish I could write a good review. I typically do. Unfortunately, we came home after a day excursion to find a shattered glass cover from the patio furniture. Why? I don't know, I just know it was not the fault of any of my group. It splintered into thousands of pieces. It took days to fully clean the area as we continued finding remaining tiny shards of glass by accidentally walking over them with bare feet. Instead of showing concern for possible injury or curiosity of how this happened the owner “demanded” payment of $180 noting it happened while we were renting. Seriously?! If an AC unit breaks during our stay are we responsible for that too? He had no interest in listening or reasoning. I really don't understand it at all. Very disappointing!

Randy's place was as a good base for our family vacation. The pool and proximity to the beach were definite highlights. However, note that the house is located at the very end of the street and not paved, so not an easy walk to the main strip. We encountered some difficulties with check-in and accessing the Wi-Fi, which was eventually sorted out. The bedrooms were clean and air-conditioned. However, the kitchen and shared spaces can get quite hot. There is one fan available and many large windows to help with circulation. Two of the rooms are separate from the main house and are accessed via outdoor entrances. While this wasn’t a huge issue for us, it’s worth noting that this setup might not be ideal for everyone. There is an overhang, so you can get to the main house without getting soaked if it rains. Ollie, the concierge, provided some useful recommendations for local excursions, and arranged a few home-cooked meals—delicious! Overall, good.

We just returned from a fabulous week at Randy‘s place in Cocoa Beach. The house is beautiful and served our needs for three couples. Because of the layout of the house we all had privacy and an en suite bathroom. The proximity to the beach was everything we wanted, we listened to the ocean waves throughout the night. Listening to the Howler monkeys made us feel that we were right in the middle of the rainforest. The swimming pool was beautifully warm and a welcome break in the heat. It was lovely swimming in the pouring rain. The kitchen was well equipped and we had the opportunity to make a few lovely meals while we were there. Randy’s team were very quick to respond to a couple of minor issues that we had. We were well taken care of whilst we were there and felt safe. Whilst at Cocoa Beach, we went on a fishing trip a beach hopping trip and into the rainforest. Every restaurant we went to in town exceeded expectations, including the Indian restaurant, Naans and Curries.

Four couples rented for a week. Was great that we each had our own bathroom. The place was clean and amenities as described. The caretaker lives next door and was available to help with all our needs and was always very quick to respond. Every morning we could hear (and sometimes see) howler monkeys right outside the door. The beach was closer than expected, we could see it from the house. The town was close enough to walk to (about 15 minutes by beach) but far enough away get away from it. Only con was no warm water in the kitchen sink.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation to Costa Rica. There are not a lot of people on the beach and you feel like you have your own private spot. The bedrooms all had their own bathrooms and were very clean. Oliver, the concierge, was great to work with. From any questions we had, to booking trips around Costa Rica, he was very prompt with responses and connected us with unforgettable excursions. The pool and yard are tended to regularly during our stay. We would definitely go back. We had 6 adults and 4 kids from 7 months to 10 and the property accommodated us very well. It was also close to downtown to make for easy drives to restaurants and shops.
