We absolutely loved our stay! The home was even more beautiful in person than the photos online and was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We noticed two hornet nests on the property and, because our son is allergic, contacted the host. They responded immediately and sent a groundskeeper over to safely remove both nests, which we greatly appreciated. The host was wonderful and responsive throughout our stay. A truly special place to experience the beauty and Pura Vida of Costa Rica—we would definitely stay again! 🇨🇷🌴

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, clean, with quality furnishings, comfortable beds and thoughtful touches. We loved having surf boards, beach chairs, pool toys, and beach towels to use. Walkable to the beach and a fun, clean swimming pool. Already planning a return trip!

We had an absolutely amazing stay with our two boys ages 7 & 9. The house was spotless, spacious, and extremely well equipped with everything we could need and more. The pool was fantastic, very refreshing with the heat, and the beach was a 5min walk away. We loved the neighborhood- very calm, laid back, with a few excellent restaurants. Close enough to places like Tamarindo for more tourist attractions and easy drives to excursions. Great hosts who were very responsive and helpful. Would love to go back some day!

Incredible house, great space for enjoying nature, time with family, and alone time when needed. The floor to ceiling windows were everything, so cool to lookout and see so much nature! Easy walk to beach and local spots. Incredible service and host was very responsive.

Let’s start with the property, the grounds are beautiful with plenty of lush greenery in the yard. The house is a little close to the neighbors, but with both house rented on either side of us the noise was never an issue and didn’t feel like we had no privacy. The road into the property is a bit rough but nothing that can’t be managed with any car. The house was amazing! The house is so well designed and has a great outdoor living area. The pool is hard to keep clean due to the trees but they leave you the tools to help keep it clean along with a pool guy twice a week. The house has plenty of space and is so nice that every room has its own bathroom. Besides being a great house, they have anything you could ever need. They definitely went above and beyond to think of little things that would make your stay more comfortable. I could not have been more happy with this house and would recommend it to anyone.

Daniela was an amazing host, and her home is incredible. We traveled with our family of 8 and it was the perfect setting for us. All the bedrooms were comfortable and had ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen was well-stocked with all appliances and equipment you could need. The living room was an inviting place to gather, play games, or watch movies. And the outdoor space with the pool, furniture, dining table, and gourmet grill made the setting even more incredible. We loved going sightseeing, hiking, and exploring in the nearby Liberia and Guanacaste areas, but then have a beautiful and relaxing home to come back to. I would recommend this amazing property to anyone. Our groups agrees that it was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would return in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic stay! Perfect for two families of four, with plenty of space for everyone. The location was ideal—just a short two-block walk to the beach, making it easy to come and go all day. We loved how much quieter the town was compared to Tamarindo. The beach was far less crowded, but there were still some great food spots and bars to enjoy. The home matched the photos well and had great amenities. The beds were very comfortable, and the welcome gift plus concierge service were thoughtful touches that made planning easy. One thing to note: it’s one of four similar homes in a row, so not as secluded as expected, with neighbors on both sides. Overall, a wonderful stay—we’d definitely recommend it!

We had a great stay at Casa Kalimba. We loved the layout of the house for our family. The pool and outside space cannot be beat. It’s just beautiful and relaxing. Easy walk or drive to the beach and restaurants. Best of all were our hosts-Daniela and crew were awesome. Super helpful and responsive. The house was spacious yet cozy. Great place to relax, cook and rest. Full of all the amenities needed.

Wow! We really loved Casa Kalimba, the house was gorgeous, and bigger than we expected. My teenage daughters loved the layout, especially having their own ensuite bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The beach is so close, literally a five minute walk. We loved the vibe at nearby Beach Dog bar and restaurant, order the punch! Don’t hesitate to book this property!

Fabulous modern home 5 minute walk to the beach. Daniela was an amazing hostess, very easy to deal with and addressed all our queries in a quick and easy manner. The home is lovely, clean, lots of AC, pool is great, outdoor indoor spaces are integrated beautifully. I would highly recommend her place to 2 families or 8 people comfortably. Lots of amenities and very well stocked kitchen. Location is also great. restaurants and bars nearby. Playa Grande is a 35 minute drive to the busier and more nightlife y Tamarindo.

There is a beautiful yard with pool which was clean and relaxing . Outdoor lounges and seating very inviting and protected from sun. Inside was expansive and inviting , kitchen supplies were easily accessible and usable , clean and fully stocked with all we needed . Beautiful and welcoming .

We really enjoyed our stay here. Easy walk to the beautiful beach and many restaurants. Loved that it was so well stocked with boogie boards, a cooler, a beach tarp, beach chairs, etc-we used those every day. The outdoor grill was great too for grilling up some brats. Of note the road the house is on is very rough but we still made it in our larger 2 wheel drive car. If you’re coming from Liberia airpot it’s only an hour and 10 mins and a very easy drive! And be careful with kids in the pool, ours got hurt almost immediately on the swing over the pool.

We had an amazing stay at this house in Playa Grande and couldn’t recommend it more. The property was perfect for our family, especially with kids. They absolutely loved the pool and all the games in the house, which kept them entertained every day. The outdoor area is beautiful and spacious, making it ideal for relaxing and spending quality time together with family and friends. The location is outstanding. It’s just a short walk to a beautiful, quiet beach, which felt peaceful and uncrowded, yet we still had easy walking access to several nice restaurants and shops. The concierge service was exceptional. Julie from Waves of Lux was incredibly helpful in arranging airport transportation and excursions, making everything seamless for us. Both Julie and Daniela were extremely responsive when we had to modify our trip plans due to delayed and canceled flights, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a fantastic experience. We would absolutely stay here again.

This place is amazing as is the entire area of Playa Grande. Everyone involved with this listing was amazing to communicate with and the house was thoroughly enjoyed by our entire family. Great place to stay if you are in the area!
