This stay was a part of me and my husband’s honeymoon in Panama, and it was easily the highlight of our entire trip. From the spectacular views and peaceful surroundings to the sounds of birds and monkeys in the distance, every moment felt special. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. Please note: you will definitely need an AWD or 4x4 vehicle to reach the house. We had a 4-cylinder vehicle and made it without any issues, but if you’d like a little extra confidence on the drive, a a 6/8 cylinder may be worthwhile. The first trip up and down can feel a bit intimidating, but after that it becomes much more comfortable. Rachel is the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. She was incredibly accommodating, always available when we needed assistance, and provided excellent recommendations for tours and local activities. She was happy to answer any questions we had about the area and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

Beautiful home with exceptional views, We did not want to leave. The road up to the house was intimidating at first but was not a problem in the end. Rachel is very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this home.

This airbnb has a spectacular view and I highly recommend staying here if you are interested in relaxing and unplugging from the hustle and bustle of life! The view is absolutely amazing!! Wildlife and jungle surrounds you--we saw monkeys and sloths daily. As other reviewers have mentioned, as well as the host, a 4x4 is a must to get up the steep incline to the airbnb!.

What a place and what a host!!!! Rachel made us feel accompanied from the first message: always friendly, close and responding quickly and clearly. Their recommendations for activities helped us a lot and we enjoyed the trip to the fullest. The property is on another level: a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean (Isla Mamey and El Sordo can be seen) and a pool that seems to merge with the landscape. In addition, the outdoor spaces are perfect for sharing with the family and ending the day with something delicious and unforgettable moments. We leave feeling very grateful for the beautiful stay. Highly recommended and we would come back without thinking!

Absolutely beautiful location and views of the Caribbean Sea. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle (6 cylinder) to get up the road driveway but worth any extra expense for the views, peace and quiet and watching the monkeys and birds.

Come stay here just for the view!! We loved our visit. It was hard to leave the house. We enjoyed the birds and monkeys all while watching the ocean and sky. We also enjoyed boat rides to the islands, bike riding, and exploring the area. We’d love to come back!

A truly, unique and wonderful place at the Caribbean coast. Interesting piece of architecture with a 230 degree view of the coastline. It is a great place to cook, grill and have a relaxing time. It is also far, far away from the human-made noise at the Carribean coast - great! The places around are driven by agriculture, a basic level of hospitality services, yachting/sailing services and the typical crowd of expats from the US and Europe selling different services. In general, the tourism at the Carribean coast around Colon/Puertobelo/Cacique is difficult - the communities try hard to repeat all the mistakes all the others around the world already did 25 years ago. Example: the "Canales Cristalinos" (beautiful place) are easy to access by canoe (for the majority of the people)... however, the locals sell hard motorboat tours only - with all the well-known impact on the "Canales Cristalinos". As a future visitor: be part of the change to the better.

Rachel welcomed us in a very friendly way. Although we always prefer a contactless check-in, we were glad that Rachel drove the way with us to the villa. She had a lot of good tips, knows the people and surroundings. She responded immediately when we had questions or concerns. The villa is an absolute exception. You can hear the monkeys screaming and can have bananas from your own garden for breakfast. A dream in gray.

Our stay was beyond amazing! The place was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and the view was absolutely breathtaking — even better than the photos. And Rachel, our host, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, always kind, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. You can truly feel the care she puts into every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 100/100 — we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommended

The view is absolutely gorgeous and was a highlight of our stay. Rachel is very friendly and nice. The pool was clean. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed how quiet and relaxing the property is. There isn’t much to do in the surrounding area and there are lots of bumpy dirt roads, so plan on staying at the Airbnb and relaxing—we enjoyed that part. Rachel gave us good advice to never keep the doors open longer than needed, so we did that to keep out pests. We still had ants and some roaches, so be sure to seal everything in bags, even toothpaste. You’re in natural surroundings! There were only 2 toilet paper rolls provided for the stay, so bring extra unless you plan to make a trip to the store. Have Rachel show you how to work the shower to get hot water. You’ll also want to bring an eye mask (there are no curtains) and ear plugs. Birds sometimes hit the large windows, which can be jarring while sleeping. Overall, a good place to relax and enjoy peace if you come prepared!
Host Response

Our stay at Rachel’s place was perfection! It was one of the more remote Airbnbs we have stayed in and we are in awe of the beauty of the picturesque and nearly 360 views of the marina, bay and islands. The house is as good as the pictures and then some. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch with howler monkeys and jungle noises, spent lazy afternoons floating in the pool and evenings cooking meals and relaxing in the well appointed house. Rachel, as others have mentioned, is a fantastic and gracious host. Our flight was delayed and we unfortunately arrived after dark. She met us at the new ETA and gave solid advice to get up the driveway in the dark. She also met us on our departure and I had a nice chat with her. If you have the opportunity to meet her and stay at her property, we recommend you do so. Just do get 4x4 as noted :)

Such a beautiful and private location, Rachel was wonderful, the villa was beautiful and pristine. The most private and secure place we have stayed, the road is secluded and the property is fully gated and fenced off. There were zero indications for the need for security but still nice to know you are the only people anywhere around you.
