Villa Thekla is great. In the middle of a tropical rainforest with many animals and plants. We felt very comfortable. The pool is great, and while we were in the water, we could see a sloth above us in the tree. We definitely want to come back. Thank you for this great place.

Villa Tekla was our favorite stay of the trip! While there, we saw a sloth, monkeys, tree frogs, large grasshoppers, iguanas, toucans, and macaws! Who needs to go on a tour when you have that in the backyard?! As mentioned in the listing, there are no windows, so you’re really connected with the environment. However two of the bedrooms had AC units which helped keep us cool at night. I loved hearing the animals (minus the howler monkeys. They scared the crap out of me haha) The home has charm and unique features. We loved having a pool and swam every day while we were there. There’s a convenience store and restaurant just at the end of the driveway which was perfect for picking up snacks and bites to eat. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay and were sad to leave! Highly recommend!

Villa Tekla is a special spot! Was a great house for our family to relax, cook, and enjoy the area. We saw a sloth and howler monkeys as well. The bedroom AC was nice for sleeping as well.

Made lots of memories with my friends at this house. Perfect for those who enjoy wildlife integrated with their vacation.

Villa Tekla was perfect for our family of 4. Everyone had their own room and there was plenty of common space to hang together. We loved the pool and all the wildlife that came to visit. We got to see it all! White faced monkeys, spider monkeys, lots of iguanas and even a sloth! It was hot when we were there so the AC in two of the bedrooms was great for sleeping. There was also a grocery store and small soda right across the street which was super convenient. The house is definitely not for a family looking for some luxury resort as it is truly open air and wildlife can get in and out. However if you are more of the outdoorsy type that is okay with a random frog in the house - and a house that will allow you to see all the wildlife, while taking a dip in the pool, this place is perfect. Our family loved our vacation. Pura Vida!

Perfect Stay for Our Family! This Airbnb was absolutely perfect for our group of six. The home was comfortable, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our whole family especially loved enjoying meals outdoors on the patio where the setting is just beautiful. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife we were able to see right from the property. During our stay we spotted capuchin monkeys, macaws, toucans, agoutis, and even a kinkajou, which we learned is very rare! It truly made the experience unforgettable. Rebecca was wonderful to work with. She was so kind and took the time to thoroughly explain the house to us, which made check-in smooth and welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a special and memorable getaway.

This was our second time in Villa Tekla, and we loved it!! Great for our family plus the grandparents, due to the layout of the house. Tamara and Rebecca communicated clearly and were very responsive, with great suggestions for navigating the area during the peak season. We would also highly recommend their friend Melvin as a guide! The villa was really a great spot to enjoy Quepos and to get away from the hussle & bussle to enjoy the pool (and the many animals that come visit).

We had a wonderful trip to the Manuel Antonio area! The highlight was this house. It's layout is ideal for feeling both comfortable and connected to the beautiful forest surrounding it. The number of animals we spotted looking out the windows alone was amazing -- including the friendly and charming house iguana who hangs around courting lady iguanas. The fact it's built at the top of a hill means it feels like you're living among the other creatures occupying the higher parts of trees. Monkeys and toucans and a variety of other birds are all there for easy spotting. The house also comes with pretty much everything you would need to cook and live and swim and relax. The hammock in the living room is perfect for chilling out and staying near your travelling compansions at the same time. When and if you're not up to cooking, there's the truly excellent family-run Cerdo Feliz restaurant literally across the street, where we ate three times and enjoyed every meal. Truely wonderful!

This was the highlight of our costa rica trip. Saw more wildlife at the pool than during our guided trip at manuel antonio. The rain at night and the sounds of the jungle were amazing and my kids have never slept so soundly. We loved the local neighborhood and walked quite frequently to restaurants. Or host was absolutely the best! She helped with local recommendations and was very availableto us. Her husband even brought over fresh grapefruit! The pool it's perfection!

We really enjoyed Tamara’s place, Villa Tekla. The house had everything we needed and allowed us to settle in after a long day of travel. The house feature wildlife that entertained our 4 year old and a pool that let us unwind in the after our daily adventures. We felt safe and secure in this spot and could walk to stores and restaurants nearby.

Villa Tekla was fantastic. I was concerned that it would be muggy without AC, but the fans and cross breeze made everything feel so comfortable. All of the bedrooms have screens. The property has a large lush garden around it and feels very private, but it’s also very close to a restaurant and a store. The best of both worlds. We had a very relaxing stay and was perfect for our family of 5.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Tekla! It is nestled in the trees and we saw so much wildlife. The house is stunning and we spent lots of time in the pool and on the hammock. If we had any questions they were answered promptly and check in and check out was very easy. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful, well loved house. Truly felt like staying at a friends home more than a rental. We saw monkeys and iguana’s while lounging around, and were easily able to walk to restaurants and stores. Highly recommend.
