Get ready for a pure jungle experience, to sleep to the sounds of nature and eat breakfast with butterflies. definitely a unique place to reconnect with nature, super host Marleen will hook you up. It was awesome to have a few nights of off grid living and get back to nature- go for it!

Marlene was a great host and a wonderful communicator. She lives full-time on the property and is always close by if you need her for anything. The experience was a true eco stay tucked in the jungle and away from the busy streets of the town. Worth a stay if you're looking to truly immerse yourself in nature

I highly recommend the place. The experience of staying in the jungle was awesome. Marlene was straightforward, helpful and easily accessible.

If you want to reconnect with nature, this is the incredible experience that Marleen offers. Yes there is no electricity but who needs it when the wildlife around you is also magical? Marleen's beautiful wooden house offers breathtaking views of the surrounding forest and you will get used to living to the rhythm of the sun very quickly. At night and its candlelight atmosphere immerse you in a unique experience. To top it off, Marleen is very attentive to her guests. Always available to discuss life as the beauties of his garden. She'll help you make your iris shampoos and give you her chickens' eggs for breakfast. I recommend immersing yourself for a few days in her world to get out of it soothing and maybe even with a little step back from your real daily needs.

If you want to have a real jungle experience, I highly recommend this place. You do have to walk through the jungle to get to this place, but just prepare for mud and a bit of a slippery path. I would reccomend this place again, you just have to be prepared for no electricity (so charge your phone ahead of time), and candle light.

Truly a lovely experience for jungle novices. Marleen and Felix are as awesome as the immersive property they’ve built an oasis within. I would come back in a heartbeat on my next trip to the Caribbean coast.

What an incredible jungle getaway. If the idea of rainwater showers in a totally open garden bathroom, visited by hummingbirds and the most BEAUTIFUL butterflies sounds like your kind of experience then visit Marleen (& Felix's) place. A magical jungle walk from the road will lead you into an oasis of wall-free tree houses that centre around a shared kitchen. Even in rainy season this place hums with life and magic. We needed to detox and unwind - so no electricity and peaceful surroundings allowed us to settle into that vibe immediately. Marleen is super kind and so accommodating, the dogs and cats are the sweetest. It's natural living in the best way, a one-off experience you will never forget. Give your self this gift!

Marleen’s place is very unique! If you want to get a taste of Costa Rica’s wildlife this is the perfect place for you. This spot is focused on a “great outdoors” experience. You will see plenty of wild monkeys and so many other animals and insects. It’s very nice and relaxing. Marleen will provide you with many local tips too!

A beautiful place in Costa Pic, close to the beaches, yet right in the jungle, where you will be left alone with many members of the local forest. A completely unique experience of fusion with nature, where there are no walls and you see it around the clock. It's especially pleasant that you get all the help you need for an unforgettable adventure.

Simply amazing! Pure relax! Here the time has its own pace... We have enjoyed so much being in the middle of the rainforest. The proximity it’s something we can’t describe. Marleen and Felix are great hosts. The jungle of Costa Rica, with its multi-faceted flora and fauna, is an exclusive place to stay. Felix helps find small monkeys and Marleen presents the local fruits with pancakes for breakfast. We especially loved the noise. From birds to howler monkeys, everything was there. Cooking and barbecuing together will round off a day on the beach or after an educational cocoa tour.

The stay with Marleen was great! The treehouse is beautiful, everything was built with a lot of love and you can see the beautiful details. The garden respectful of the jungle is great, Marleen and Felix have also been able to prove it here, it has a lot of charm and is beautifully designed of course! Marleen and Felix are super sweet and helpful, open to conversations! The food at Marleen's was very tasty and you could try her vegetables and herbs from the garden. The Homestay is very quiet and you can see many animals, plants and flowers. I especially liked the jungle sounds! I would recommend this homestay to everyone it was great! Thank you Marleen for everything.

Words are only an accent on the experience that Marleens space facilitates. Your space is deep enough in the jungle that you are able to settle into to being a member of the family of all the life that will hold you from the monarchs that will fly past you as you wake within your tree home to the monkeys who's calls will sing you to sleep. Being in the space will not feel like you disconnected from the world but rather reconnected to the one forgotten in the hum of a city and remembering what it feels like to be whole and in your body. The outdoor shower is cold and refreshing in the humid heat of costa rica and its setting will have you hesitating to ever be within four walls. The privacy is guaranteed however you are still close enough to the town of puerto viejo to spend your days by the ocean and your evenings and mornings in the jungle. Close by is Punt Uva, Cocles and Manzanillo so whether you are looking for a more populated surfers beach or a secluded space to spend the day with sloths and fresh coconuts off the trees its all accessible. I would definitely recommend having a car for accessibility and if you have any physical limitations that would make it difficult to climb stairs or hike for approximately 5 minutes through a jungle path this might not be for you. Also if you have children the exposed walls may be a bit risky so it's something to keep in mind. I'm not only going to come back whenever I am on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica but whole heartedly and authentically recommend you book if this space has called you. I only anticipate it becoming more beautiful and diverse as Marleen continues to grow her vision of her garden and spaces.
